“Chucky Cheese of the north”
Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

When we arrived at 6 pm on a Saturday evening the restaurant was filled with running screaming children. The staff seemed pretty shell shocked. It took a long time to get served and the seemed to be out of a lot of stuff. Our waiter (his second night) seemed too young to be serving beers and certainly didn't know anything about their selection.
It took TWO hours to get our food 8:15). The manager did give us a free round of drinks.
Probably not always like this, but we won't take the chance again.

“Great Food”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

We have a time share at Mittersill in Franconia Notch, and we always make a few trips down to "Above the Notch" for dinner. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Good prices.

“Kenny Baxter,waiter with charisma.”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Had a great night at Above the Notch, made all the better by Kenny, who's help and professionalism made the night, nothing was too much trouble for him, he knew the menu backwards and was very accommodating and thoughtful. The meals were very acceptable and well presented, would go again, especially if Kenny was serving!!!!

“Convenient”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We ate hear on a recommendation of the hotel staff. It was close to our hotel. We were told they had great pizza. We were seated quickly and the table next to us ordered pizza and. were told the pizza would be 45 minute. We chose to order burgers, they were fine.

“Amazing Food!”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Stopped by for a bite to eat because it was a recommendation of a "local" Figured the locals always know the best places to eat. Well this local (Mike from Stonybrook Motel & Lodge) knew his stuff! The food was absolutely delicious. My hiking partners and I were in NH for a weekend of hiking so needless to say we were hungry. Ribs, Blue cheese burger was the best I ever had! poppers, onion rings and so on ...2 nights in a row! Rosalyn the 1st night and Kenny the 2nd night made our nights so much fun, 2 fantastic people!! On our 2nd night the place was full with no seating left in the house due to a pool tournament going on but this wonderful "local" man by the name Jack offered to share his table with us, and for the rest of the evening he pleasured with his wealth of knowledge about his life, his travels and his experiences. What a blast we had!! I will definitely be back!
