We had a pleasant week night meal here. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and relaxed. if a little homey. We liked the farm to table concept and the use of locally sourced organic foods. The service was very good, our waitress was pleasant and enthusiastic. We started with the raw platter which was the best part of the meal, the sunflower pate a beautiful combination with the flax and sundried tomato crisps. Our waitress informed us that it was exciting that it was 'burger night' so my husband chose the vegetarian burger. He was disappointed with the burger which was bland and soft. I had the braised chicken with mushroom and cream sauce which was very good. This is great everyday restaurant.

I like to try different food, and this place makes it easy. All of the food is locally produced and, I believe, organic. This time I tried the bison steak, something I have never tried before - pretty good.

One of the few restaurants that hits all the high notes: ambiance, service, interesting selections, value. Add to that, local organic ingredients, and it is just about perfect. Only drawback is the odd route to the parking lot, which I intend to master, as this is the best dining experience I have had in a long while. Make reservations and check this amazing place out!

A celebratory gathering of seven arrived at 6PM for an anticipated dining experience we had been planning for my daughter's 17th birthday surprise. Seated quickly around a "farmer's table" placed before the kitchen accommodated us all with nice elbow and leg room. Greeted immediately some ordered the "Rosalita" margarita, some had wine and others ice water. We visited on the first Saturday night in early April that was part of the restaurant week and offered a "prix fixe" menu offering as well as the full usual menu selections. This night's preparation's were reviewed, discussed and selected with aid in deciphering some of the entree and appetizer components by all. Five of us opted for the 3 course fixed price menu offering - two selecting the "Char" fish entree, two selecting the banger and garlic mash item and the fifth the "ragout" entree. Apps for the prix fixe were either a melange salad or sauteed endive. Both choices had intriguing dressings. The melange salad had a chevre stuffed fig and grapefruit segments. One guest ordered the pork cutlet entree that is her "favorite" item always ordered when she dines at Blue Moon. Birthday gal ordered the cheese board as her dinner choice. Desserts were selected and enjoyed. The atmosphere is chic, has a hipster vibe and a soft dimmed light ambiance. Our meals were pleasing but lacked the "umph" we expected. For example, garlic mashed potatoes lacked any garlic zing in either the mashed or the gravy. Bangers were simply a banger. The char entrees were seared and marked but lacked much depth of flavor and were dry versus moist and fleshy. The service staff was always handy to refresh water, get a second cocktail and deftly clear and replace cutlery as the meal progressed. However, the price/value continuum of the menu didn't quite move me to think that Blue Moon was an extraordinary value for prices requested. We all enjoyed the ambiance, the deftness displayed by the service staff and the fact that we were celebrating my daughter's 17th birthday at Blue Moon Evolution. Locally sourced or not, there was not a crispness to the meals, a sublime flavor or a "drop-dead" preparation for the meals we had this night.
