“Very, very good and highly recommended”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2012

Blue Moon Evolution in Exeter, NH (where there are no other restaurants anywhere near Evolution's league) is a rare commodity, indeed. Committed to serving healthy, locally grown, seasonal, organic food, Evolution is a real restaurant; it is not a hippie-style, everything-is-made-with-spelt-and-looks-like-the-forest-floor kind of place. It's a great choice for vegans and vegetarians, and also for those who do not or cannot eat gluten. The service is excellent. The servers really know their stuff and can advise on where, when and how the various dishes were grown, cooked or baked. It's not done in an overpowering way; it's just very helpful. I give this very good restaurant four rather than five stars because there can be a few inconsistent dishes but, by and large, this is a BIG winner. And it is highly recommended.

“Very tasty and”

Pricey and all about organic and GF (gluten free) which gets to be a bit much after they say it for the 27th time. I'm not all about organic so you don't need to go on about it - good food is good food and the food here was excellent. I had a burger (local grown). They cooked it medium rare for me (most places won't anymore) so I'd go back just for that. It was $12 and was delicious and came on a big delicious roll with fried onions and a blue cheese fondue that scared me a bit so I got it on the side. It was delicious though so I ended up eating most of it. There were potato wedges with it that had a reduced balsamic drippy stuff that I wanted to lick off the plate it was so good. Bottled beer for $5. All in all it was way better than I thought it was going to be and I look forward to going again - Wed. night is burger night. Entrees are $20ish and they sounded good. It was crowded - nobody waiting but every table full so you may have a wait. Atmosphere is very comfortable and nice and service was excellent.

“Perfect from the start!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2012

From the warm greeting when we arrived to the detailed explanation of the menu we were so delighted we chose this restuarant . The cocktails were made with fresh fruits excellent spirits and all fairly priced for such quality. The haddock I ordered was delicately prepared and so fresh. The veal special my husband ate was tender and delicious. The coffee served in a French press and it was a perfect robust cup of decaf. The chocolate desert was decadent .the pear tart not on par with the rest of the meal. This is a must visit restuarant when you are in this area. When we are home we are always willing to travel a distance for a great meal. This one is 5 hours away and with the first taste of our meals we loked at each other and questioned how far is too far? Hmm. However we will return when we are in the area! Need to mention homemade bread ..very delicious .3 small pieces made us wanting a bit more..Loved the potted wild violets on the windowsills ..decor is perfect...low lights cozy tables..

“What a surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2012

We spent 2 nights in Exeter over Easter and decided to stay in town for dinner the second night. Made a reservation and went to Blue Moon Evolution based on their excellent reviews on tripadvisor. And we couldn't agree more! From the moment we went into the restaurant we did fall in love with it! The ambience is cozy and inviting, nicely decorated tables. The wine was excellent, so was our dinner (chicken and trout, both nice and tender and very delicious!) accompanied by some fresh homemade bread to be dipped in olive oil. As we just couldn't resist, we shared the cheese platter for dessert, which had not only assorted cheeses on it but also herbed butter, pickled cranberries, mango chutney etc. Everything they are serving is fresh, local and organic fare, and you can absolutely tell by the way it looks and tastes.
We do absolutely recommend this little restaurant and will definitely go back if we will ever be back in the area!!

“Great service, amazing entrees and relaxing atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

We were seated by the owner and greeted by Richard our server promptly. He shared the philosophy of the staff and restaurant and offered some suggestions for beverages and entrees. My husband and I are on a restricted menu ... but that did not intimidate Richard ... he embraced our restrictions and conferred with the chef to ensure that our selections fit within our parameters. The chef even visited our table to ask about our menu - he wanted to take our information and come up with entrees and desserts that would fit within our menu. Wonderful haddock, amazing chicken, fish cake and duck entrees. Everything is fresh, organic and from farm to table! We are looking forward to returning VERY SOON!
