Having stayed at various hotels around Exeter we were fortunate to find Around the Corner B&B for our stay this time. Wonderful hospitality, a beautiful old house, and a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the short walk to downtown and Phillips Exeter Academy. Around the Corner is our top choice for accomodations in the Exeter area. Thanks for a great visit!

Others have said it better, but you can tell as soon as you step through the door that the owner of this B&B really strives to maintain an upscale New England ambiance with unique Old World touches thrown in. Our room was the Monet room, with a Parisian theme carried through in the art and decor, and classy touches such as sparkling bottled water and Lindt chocolates on the bureau. The bed was the perfect firmness for a blissful night; the towels are top of the line plush; and the owner has thought to put every little accessory in the room to make one feel perfectly at home. On top of that, it is a very short and pleasant stroll to downtown Exeter.

This B&B met and exceeded every expectation we had, or should I say hoped for in a get away trip. We are from Michigan and we hadn't ventured to the East Coast so we were looking for a great place to stay that could help direct us in our adventure. Thankfully we found the Around the Corner B&B. We could not get over how warm, comfortable, and charming this B&B is kept. The hostess was wonderfully helpful in suggesting places to visit and dine. The proximity to Kennebunkport, Portsmouth, Ogunquit, Gloucester, Salem, and the Hampton Beach made this all the more desirable place to stay. The home was beautifully decorated and had each room dedicated to an artist. The hostess is a real art enthusiast and delights in educating about the artists and the town of Exeter. The breakfast was simply wonderful. We certainly look forward to our next visit. Thank you very much for such a great time!

I booked into this lovely b&b during a recent alumni weekend. Everything was just right. Very nice warm reception, nothing was too much trouble. Our hostess shuttled our cars around in the pouring rain for us as they were very full and we were trying to use only one of the many rental cars that accumulated on site (seems to me most of the guests were taking part in the alumni activities). There is wifi, which seems to work best in the sitting room. It is walking distance to the academy. Room was comfortable as was the bed (I put great value in the quality of the mattress). Recommend.

We had the Monet room. I'm a bit biased, loving Monet and being surrounded by his paintings and books about his art. But this really is a great B&B. Owners are really helpful and very nice. The breakfast was extremely good and the room was cozy, clean and well decorated. This place probably has the best service I have seen in a B&B. We were even offered some cake during the evening! A nice add-on would be a small fridge but it was otherwise perfect. Oh... almost forgot to mention we stayed there to be close to Hampton Beach but we discovered Exeter which is an amazing small little town!

No one works as hard as the hostess of this B&B to make her guests feel like family. It is a lovely place. Each room has a theme and is decorated to suit. The breakfast served is wonderful each and every time. I've stayed there twice now and daughter a third time. We will go again and again whenever we are in the area.

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful but there is no elevator so if that is a problem choose one at least onl...

Four of us from Texas ended up stranded without a place to stay. We called every hotel/inn/B&B within Massachusetts, New Hampshire and were told the nearest hotel with a vacancy was in Vermont. Just as we were about in tears, Rita called us back and said she had a cancellation. They made room for all of us..even gave us their room so that all four of us had a room! Best night of sleep ever! The topping on the cake was the breakfast Rita prepared. Oh my goodness! Started off with the most delicious protein fruit smoothie topped with a fresh strawberry. Then the main course, cinnamon french toast with fruit, cream, bacon, fresh warm maple syrup. YUM! Sent us on our way with a large baggie of pastries. Rita and Peter were wonderful and very helpful. If you are looking for a B&B in the area...this place is it!

Room Tip: They are all good.
