It was a rainy day and I didn't feel like a long drive from home.
A coupon from the local restaurant circular for a half price lunch
was the motivator for trying The Commodore Grill. We were steady
customers at this small restaurant many years ago when it was known
as Pierre's Kabobs. Several owners since Pierre didn't do very well
but the current chef/owner, Raymond Geramos, seems to have gotten things
right. It is located in a strip mall near the Hannaford's grocery store.
The interior has about 15 tables plus a counter with about 6 stools.
The food is advertised as Lebanese & Italian: we chose the lamb
kabob plate ($10.95) and the stuffed grape leaves plate ($9.95) both
with excellent french fries. Our server promptly took our orders, brought
drinks and a basket of pita bread & butter, and shortly brought our
lunch plates hot from the kitchen. The food was delicious and the lunch
portions large. Give it a try - you will not be disappointed!
