“Cozy, classy and friendly”

I booked our room at TCI through hotels.com for an amazing $140/night. There is a delicious gourmet breakfast included (eggs, bacon, French toast, fruit, pastries, etc.). The charm and care exuded by staff began with Margie at check-in, and Devin and others at breakfast. Our room #26 was on the third floor (stairs, no elevator) of the Carriage House. It was close quarters for my husband (there are larger rooms) but for me cozy, with a very comfortable four poster king bed, large armoires, one containing the tv and amenities (hairdryer, ice bucket, and such) a desk & chair, a comfy side chair and hassock (there is gorgeous furniture throughout the buildings). It has a tree top view, over the cemetery (quiet, not creepy!). The bathroom was large with a shower stall (it could use more lighting and towel racks, but that's picky me). Everything was very clean, and the care of the staff was evident. We also had lunch at the Inn one day, and the food was excellent (NE Clam Chowder, Turkey & Swiss Sandwich, Ham & Cheese and a Tomato Soup) and a rather good value. A special treat for me was discovering their secret garden, down steps from the entrance, a fountain surrounded by hostas, a pergola arch down more huge granite steps to a another garden to a white gate leading to a park along the Oyster River. Utterly charming! A most enjoyable stay!

We stayed in room 20, with a beautiful period poster bed. Wow! the room was very inviting and comfortable. The staff outstanding. We were escorted to our room and had the cooling system demonstrated for our benefit. I lost my car keys and inquired about them. someone found the keys in the parking lot, returned them to the desk. The staff person, didn't just throw the keys in a drawer, but kindly wrapped the keys in a small net (like a jewelry bag). The meal at the tavern - over the top nothing wrong with the food and the server kind and professional (did not brother us with the typical question-how you doing, but had a conversation. Morning breakfast just blew me away. First it was on the house - and the food was delicious, the best eggs-like gourmet!!!

Yes when the area again will book at Three Chimneys Inn

Room Tip: no need for a pool or fitness centre, walking through the surrounding mini-park is enough!

Stayed here for a wedding in November. The event space was a little small but I'd like to call it cozy. Had a lot of fun at their bar area and reception room. The food was pretty good too. I was really impressed the way they were able to keep the historic feel to the place was still offering the comforts we're so used to in today's world. It's a nice romantic spot if you're looking for a weekend get away. Highly recommend.

We stayed in room 25, which is a gorgeous suite featuring two very comfortable 4-poster beds, a queen and a king. The room had comfortable chairs, nice views in three directions, and a large bathroom with earth-friendly soaps and lotions. The only negative was that the wi-fi service was spotty and slow. The staff were unfailingly friendly, down to earth, and lacking any sense of pretense. Breakfast was excellent, as was dinner at the adjoining tavern, which is worth a visit just for its unique combination of quirkiness and history. The clam chowder is direct from heaven.

Room Tip: If traveling with a child, definitely room 25 for the sense of privacy it affords.

We had to visit NHU on business and we just picked this place and we were not disappointed. The room was beautifully furnished with a fireplace and jacuzzi and very clean. There were some imperfections, but it just added to the charm. Our tv didn't work and they fixed it immediately. The staff was very gracious and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. We hope we get another opportunity to return in the nicer weather!

We spent a few nights here while Antique Shoping in New Hampshire. I have nothing bad to say about the place. The restaurant was very good. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms came with breakfast, and I'm not talking a comfort inn breakfast, It was a top of the line breakfast and it was delish both mornings !

We spent a night at the Three Chimneys Inn recently. The hospitality of the staff and charm of the Inn are only rivaled by the fact that this is the oldest home in New Hampshire, the original structure dating back to 1649!!!

At check-in the hostesses was as warm and personable as you could ever imagine. Her personality blended with her obvious pride for the Inn created the most welcoming greeting we could imagine. We were treated to the level of attention and sincerity normally reserved only for long lost returning relatives.

Our hostesses personally brought us to our room and gave us a personal tour of the room. We were amazed how well she knew each and every system as she casually lectured us on the history of this portion of the Inn.

We had dinner out that evening but returned just in time to enjoy a final evening drink if the ffrost Tavern, an inner sanctum styled tavern located on the lower level of the Inn. Again, a friendly and polite staff took care of our libations as we soaked in the 17th century atmosphere blended with an eclectic mix of embellishments throughout the room. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind before bedtime.

That evening we enjoyed a night in a large four post canopy bed by the fire in our room. Sure, the fire place was a beautiful gas powered unit and there was a beautiful Jacuzzi in the far corner of the room, but regardless of the century of the amenities or the context within the period, we had all of the conveniences of the past and present that made for a restful and cozy night.

The next morning we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast in the oldest room of the house by a large fireplace. Our server, Anthony, provided not only great service but also acted as our history guide, telling us the history of the this part of the Inn along with the family who owned this home from the beginning in the early 17th century. Not only was Anthony able to point out the cracks in the floors and provide details of the rooms but he also showed us early photos of the 19th century members of the family who once roamed the rooms and halls of the building.

The breakfast was amazing. The cuisine is a combination of traditional New England breakfast fare along with more creative and trendy items you would expect to find in a unique New England inn such as this. It was a wonderful start to the day.

We were anxious to get home to see our children. This was the first night in 10 years that we were both away from them for the night. However, if we were looking for a place to enjoy a quiet evening on a cold winter night, go no further, the Three Chimneys Inn would be at the top of my list. However, if we were slightly younger and looking for a place to be married, this would also be a place that would be impossible to avoid. Having looked at photos of the grounds in full summer bloom and knowing how important the staff makes you feel with each and every greeting, this would be the ideal place to start your life together. What a perfect location for a New England wedding.

If you are looking for a blend of the history and architecture of the past combined with the amenities and conveniences of the current, then you will enjoy the Three Chimneys Inn. However, if personality and more personal attention from each and every staff member are important to you, then this is the place for you. Here you will find true New England hospitality and charm and will savor your experience at the Three Chimneys Inn for years to come.

Room Tip: The rooms with jacuzzis and fantastic.
