“Wonderful small hotel”
Reviewed September 5, 2008

Stayed at the Centennial Inn in Concord NH for 3 nights while travelling around New England in August 2008. We stayed here as a base to travel around New Hampshire. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the State House in Concord. We did walk down to the State House but there didn't seem much around, which didn't matter as we were out exploring each and every day.

It's a fairly small hotel which aims to provide you with an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. We stayed in room 306 which was a large room with a king size bed. I had 3 of the best night's sleep - don't know what mattresses they use but they are so comfortable.

All the staff were excellent from the Receptionists, to the bar tender and waitress at breakfast. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and again, the service, quality and price was excellent. Although we didn't have dinner in the restaurant, it seemed quite popular.

It was excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this place if you are travelling around and need a central base for a one or two nights.

My family was skeptical as we approached this hotel, however I was confident due to the reviews I read here. Our room was excellent! We had a fabulous large bathroom, bathrobes and a sitting room. Wish we had planned on staying longer. They did a lovey job renovating this hotel.

A really nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable and a restaurant that serves tasty food.

For a business traveller, I found service to be somewhat slow. Prepare to wait to be seated, even when the restaurant is empty. Check-in staff can seem distant, but they do get the job done.

Bathroom very modern, though modern is not always functional. Flat screen television was a nice plus and the bed was sent from heaven.

Pristinely clean! Basically what staying in a hotel should---a home away from home.

Would I stay again? Yes!!!!!!

P.S. Room 200, like Room 202, as was mentioned in another review, was a a bit noisey at one point. But all was quiet on the Western front at 10:15 p.m. Ear plugs will help drown out any noise.

The inn looms up, dark brick, as you drive westward just outside town. Inside it is light and airy and delightful. Staff are cordial and helpful, coffee was available whenever I wanted it, and the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. My only concern was that lighting in the room was just adequate: one desk lamp, no overhead or floor lamp. I will certainly return.

My husband and I sayed at the centennial Inn for 2 nights and it was a great experience. The room was modern and I loved the way it was decorated. The bed was hands down the best hotel bed I have ever slept in. It was extremely comfortable! We had to check out a 4:30am to catch our flight and the hostess had coffee and hot chocolate ready just for us. Our stay was truly an excellent experience. I would highly suggest this hotel.

The Centennial has a classic, old exterior and a very nice interior. We stayed just one night while traveling through New Hampshire, and the experience was a good one. The room we stayed in was comfortable and quiet, and had some really nice features. The bathroom in particular was very modern and updated with a basin sink and marble floor. The bed was comfortable. We did not eat at the Centennial, but the restaurant looked to be nice and well-run too. A good place to stop over in New Hampshire, and a short drive to the White Mountain tourist attractions to the north.
