“Consistently Outstanding Restaurant in Concord”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014

This has become our choice for consistently outstanding restaurant experience in Concord. Creative kitchen, always has unique specials. Varied menu, have had excellent veal, special lamb kabob. Sufficient wine list to complement meal. Special desserts and coffee. Outstanding old world service from Jon. Over a year, has been reliable and special every time.

“Wonderful from drinks to take home bread”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

Well done restaurant in downtown concord. Opened in 2010. We enjoyed mussels in a family recipe and cevapi which are the home made sausage, very mild and tasty. Special salad was a perfect addition. Jonathan is very attentive bartender

“FIRST CLUE...NO ONE IN RESTAURANT....”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2013

relatively limited and pricey menu....no substitutions (can't eat pasta, want rice? nope)
cheese and olive plate as app. $12.00. adequate cheese, but 8 olives? ...hmmm.
I ordered pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp. came on a big plate, looked like a lot. however the pasta covered a mound of onions (so may that when I left most on my plate the waitress remarked at how much onion was in the dish), and the dish was over salted. 2 of 3 mussels had a very "off" taste (old?), there were 2 tiny clams and 3 shrimp. a $20 dish that could be had elsewhere for much less.
companion had sausages which she said she could have had the same at home. her side was chopped tomatoes, etc.
it took a very long time for the kitchen to produce the food.. and.... there was no one else there!!
both dishes, the app. 2 glasses of wine and tip came to $84, not a terrible amount if the food and service good, but overpriced for quality of food!
want good Italian? go to Angelina's. about the same price, much, much better food. or walk up the street to the barley house.. great burgers, good specials, and a varied menu.

“Overpriced”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2013

Where do I start? Slow service, no flexiblity with menu substitutions. Soup special $12.00 a bowl. Lamb special $41.00. Bread $3.00 for six slices of baguette, no butter. Boston prices yet restaraunt is a storefront in downtown Concord. Sent letter of complaint to owner/chef with concerns; no response. Too many restaurants offering a better value to give this place another chance.

“good, slow food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Ended up here b/c it was the only place with an open table the other night. It is a slow food restaurant with a nice menu. Our food was very good for Concord and NH in general.

We had two lamb dishes the lamb kabob was the most expensive thing on the menu at 28$ and I ordered the lamb shoulder steak special. It was good but not as good as the kabob.I did not ask the price and was not told the price so i was stunned when i saw it billed at 41$ for ~6 oz. of lamb. I travel and eat out quite a bit but a special 50% more than anything else on the menu?

IMO Wine is a bit over priced but they have a good selection of wines that you will know so you can decide accordingly.

I also had the cheese & olive platter to start. Nice but not impressive, they had some "gourmet" cracker with it that were not to my liking so I asked for two pieces of bread b/c i don't usually find bread i like in NH. I was told she would bring me an order so 3$ for bread. It was good but with 41$ mains you have to pay for bread?

The bar is right in the dining area and they had a college football game playing with the couple of guys watching it? That didn't fit the idea of a restaurant like that to me at all, esp. with them yelling at the screen. If they shut the TV off the place would score much higher in atmosphere. I loved their chairs.

The food is good and i will stop back again b/c their lasagne sounded great as a special. I'll just make sure i ask what it costs.
