Went to the Common Man for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice. The food was very good and the desert was wonderful.

While the name seems to give an appeal to an average folk, the cost and value indicate the target is clearly for an upscale customer that can be satisfied with a better than average product for an above average price. Their products and service are mostly very good, although our recent visit in Concord left some to be desired. Filet Mignon ordered medium came closer to well, and it was apparent that two of our orders had sat and cooled while the others were being finished. But good flavors prevailed with all dishes and if the two drunk women at the adjacent table weren't hitting on our waiter, we might have had better service. They have several nice amenities like an ample bread basket, crackers and cheese on self-service islands, and a final touch of white chocolate distributed to finish off the palate.

Great restaurant, great food and amazing service. Found out about wine down wednesday where wine is half price! The place is packed wednesday nights. This is the only hot spot in town.

Wow!!!! Tried the lobster corn chowder and the crab cakes as per previous reviews, amazing!!!! I could have had two bowls of soup and the crab cakes were all crab, very little bread crumbs. Crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. Learned that our server has family in Lockport. Another small world. The manager even came to our table to see if everything was to our likening. If you're in N.H., you need to stop and eat there. They have several locations.

common man is an institution in new hampshire with many restaurants and a "common" theme. casual, busy - predictably good food and value. we stopped for lunch (great place for a quick lunch is the bar in back) and were delighted with the food and the service. this is a successful operation - locally owned and operated.
