“Excellent Restaurant!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious at a great value. I loved the cheese and chocolate bars that were found throughout the restaurant. This would be a great place for a formal function, gathering with friends or with the family. I highly recommend it!

Nicely prepared smaller lunch portions. Grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon, crab cakes and lobster corn chowder very tasty appetizers. Creamy macaroni/cheese with several large pieces of lobster meat. Stuffed scrod, not overwhelmed with stuffing. Medley of summersquash/zucchini perfectly cooked and seasoned. Lisa J attentive waitress. Offers free crackers/cheese

“Great place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

I have eaten at several of the Common Man locations and I think this one has to be my favorite. Great facility. The pub located on the second floor is a great space to unwind after a long day. And the food is fantastic from the soups to the appetizers right through the entrees. Have the Pot Roast, it is to die for!

“Common Ground”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

The restaurant is situated in a simulated old building. The service was nice and swift. The cracker and cheese table was unique. The broccoli wasn't seasoned and the lobster mac and cheese was under seasoned, but obviously adding salt was easy. Servings were large.

“Upscale atmosphere, average food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Went to the Commonman in Concord with the family to celebrate a birthday. The building and atmosphere inside is absolutely gorgeous. The building is also huge inside. We had a new trainee that really didnt know much about the menu and seemed extremely nervous.

The food was good but nothing out of this world special. I had the apple crusted chicken and the chicken breast was really good. The mashed butternut squash was good but average with any other kind I have had and the rice pilaf was god awful. It had some sort of funky after taste to it and I could put my finger on what it was. I had to mix it with the squash to make it taste better. There was also cornbread on my plate that was cold and tasted like it was made a few days ago.

Also in our party, entrees were pot roast which was very good, Sole also very good, and mac and cheese lobster which was also very good.

For dessert the wait staff sang for the birthday but made us choose and pay for which dessert we wanted. The Tollhouse Cookie Pie which is a pretty classic dessert at this point. However it was somewhat uncooked in the middle. The servers never filled our empty water glasses, which was the only drink we ordered, until we were halfway through our entrees. Never asked if we needed anything else or how the food was. And took a long time to clean our table, get our dessert, and bring the bill.

Plus it is super pricey for food that doesnt taste much better than a typical upscale diner or something else. A fun once in a lifetime trip.
