“A great historical gem.”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

This is the oldest operating capital in the United States. It is historic in many aspects. It is old , but much more to tell. The tour staff are well versed in its history, and the legislators are true citizen legislators. You will be made to feel at home. you might be puzzled as to how this old place is still operating. I barely is. Consider the supreme court just moved out about thirty years ago, and the office building across the street was purchased from the federal government just about the same time. Cramped, no air conditioning, and old; but lovely.

“History in the US”
Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

As a European I am not overally untreated in American " history".

But really liked the capitol building. The hall of flags was particularly good viewing.

Strange place as feels like a museum but is a functioning legislation building.

“I live in NH and still enjoy visiting the Capitol building.”

The Hall of Flags is fascinating! The State House is the oldest state capitol in which the legislature meets in its original chambers.

Good place to show kids on a rainy day. Example of a well-maintained structure with a lengthy history.

Having seen most capitol buildings this one did not rank high on the list. Not as impressive as others.
