Every three or four months I get a chance to visit the Imperial Buffet in Claremont, NH and find it pretty much the same over the years. The interior is ok but getting a little tired. Rug has a rip here and there patched with ducktape! However, the buffet food is always quite good. Today a standout was the grilled white fish. These filets were just totally delicious and so tender. On the other hand, as I find with many Chinese buffets, the large fillet of salmon is almost always over cooked and tough. That was the case here as well. The various chicken dishes and the pork were well cooked, tasty and tender. Thin rice vegetable noodles were very good. Love the crab rangoons and the special stuffed shrimp had a delicious pork based coating around them. Meeting a good friend here for conversation and catching up is a plus. Finished the meal with two scoops of chocolate chip mint ice cream and hot tea. Wonderful.
