Two friends and I stopped at the Common Man Restaurant in Claremont for Lunch on Saturday, January 12th. Greeted at the hostess station by Laura, who also is the manager of the restaurant. She seated us at a table by the double door that looks out to the river. The place was pretty much empty which is a shame because the atmosphere and the food here at lunch is great.
All three of us ordered the soup of the day which was Vegetable Beef Soup. Very tasteful and loaded with vegetables. Could have been slightly hotter, but still good nevertheless. I ordered the special, open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes for, one of my dining companions ordered the open face prime rib sandwich which comes with bouse-fried chips and a pickle and my other companion ordered Chicken Tacos with sweet potato french fries. All three entrees were great. Flavor, hotness, and eye appeal perfectly done.
All reasonably priced. More people should discover this great lunch place. It's quiet and a nice get away from the fast food place in Claremont. The prices and food are a whole lot better.
This being January I can't comment on the outdoor seating, but it is available during the summer months.
