“Really great food and atmosphere”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

The Coe House is the kind of place you go for a special occasion or if you're not on a budget. It's on the higher side of the price range. It is also worth it. The food has been consistently good the few times I have been there.

“Good Food”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

The bar has a great selection of wines and the food is good also. The service is not the best, it's a bit slow.

“Wow... Top Shelf dining”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

This is about as good as it gets, white table dining with the top quality food and beverage.

“Excellent lakeside dining in New Hampshire”
Reviewed October 14, 2011

On a recent drive through New Hampshire during leaf peeping season, we found some of the towns along Lake Winnipesaukee to be on the crowded side. We drove on to the quiet town of Center Harbor, and had an excellent experience dining at the Coe House Restaurant. The name of my meal was a mouthful in itself -- "Granite Brick Pressed Statler Chicken with Crispy Prosciutto Risotto." It was delicious; an excellent mix of flavors. My husband had the "Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Wild Mushroom Demi-glace." Again, a long name for a simply delicious meal. (Though I'm always nervous about wild mushrooms ... these were the real deal, since we're still alive.)

The location is also excellent -- everything you could hope for in a New England restaurant, from a wide porch with flower pots to the interior decor of ornamental woodwork and Victorian touches. There's an excellent history of the house on the Coe House website.
