“great fish every time!”
Reviewed July 11, 2012

At least a few times per year we take the hour drive on the beautiful back roads to this place. Never disappointed! Great fish sandwich, large portions friendly service. Grilled shrimp salad was very tasty also. Beautiful lake views.

“Go for the sunset”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

This place sits nearly on the shore of a large lake with a western view. If you time it right, you can eat dinner while you watch the sun setting in the west over the lake. They have full service tables, including bar service, inside and out and the inside feels almost like they are outside with the large open french doors. As the name might imply their specialty is seafood.

I must say that their fried food is not greasy at all. Although they serve their fried food on top of french fries on paper places as to many seafood shacks, the french fries don't end up soaked in grease as it is in other places. I would rate the food as slightly above average, but their prices are reasonable and the location is tough to beat. This place is only open during the tourist season; late spring through late fall.

They also have a take-out window on the side where you can get just about everything that is available in the sit-down restaurant. They also serve ice cream cones and dishes at the take-out window.

This is a casual place where you can wear you flip-flops and bathing suit with a cover-up and feel comfortable. This is a very popular place and parking can be a problem and you may have to park on the street. It is a place where you can relax and watch the sun set. It is worth the trip. I live about 20 miles from this place and visit 2 or 3 times during their season.

“Great beach side food”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

Beautiful location overlooking the water; affordable prices & great breaded mushroom appetizer. The food felt "clean" (unusual for a seaside fried seafood joint) and it was worth the drive.

“We did takeout”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

This place looks like one of those tourist traps. It was only on the recommendation of our B&B host that we decided to do takeout. We each had a combo plate which was $18.95. It consisted of scallops and fresh haddock broiled in garlic with cole slaw, corn of the cob and a corn muffin. The fish was good. The corn was surprisingly not overcooked and I wasn't sure if the muffin was homemade or not. The coleslaw was adequate - nothing really super special but all in all, a good meal.

“A great greasy spoon with a view”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

Ok, perhaps not the healthiest food on the planet, but hard to find a better place for a meal and a few drinks in Bristol ... the view from the deck is just awesome. Besides, REALLY hard to beat the price!!!
