We enjoyed drinks and fabulous hors d’oeuvres plates on the first floor veranda of the Mt. Washington Hotel. The spectacular scenic view of the Mt. Washington Valley is hard to describe, without witnessing it first-hand. We then migrated to Stickney’s Restaurant on the lower level. A slight wait for a table was experienced because of the busy lunch period, and due our large group of seven. However, a faux pas of confusion between the restaurant wait staff and the maître d caused an unnecessary delay in service to our table. After sitting for nearly thirty (30) minutes without service, we summoned the maître d for attention. Finally, our embarrassed waiter was located who took our order and all was forgiven. All of our meals were delicious with generous portions. Green salads with salmon were fantastic as were “Trio” variety of “sliders”. Green salads with chicken breast were equally delicious. All-in-all, we had a memorable family afternoon of great scenery, food and family fun. *Writer notes that a “five” (5) point/excellent rating would have been given, absent the service delay.
