Took 2 friends from China ~ who were amazed! Had a great time yesterday !! Wish i had climbed, but thankful they had the train ~ do check the weather and then wait 15 minutes! This is a must do ~ no choices.

“Amazing adventure”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Our family (16 of us) ranging from 2 to 70 enjoyed this experience. We took the steam train and had a bright conductor who gave us information on the ride to the summit of Mount Washington. The weather cleared just in time, and the cool temperatures were very welcome. Beautiful vistas and a great and fun way to spend family time.

“Great Ride to the top of Mt Washington.”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The ride to the top was very exciting. We got in line early, and were the first to board, so we took the first row of seats which allowed an great view out the front windows and doors. the guide provided a lot of information about the railroad and the mountain. Unfortunately for us, the top was covered in thick clouds, but that only added to the experience. Bring a jacket, the temp on the top is normally 15 - 20 degrees colder, and the wind could make it feel even colder.

“Ride the Cog to the top”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We took the Cog to the top of Mt. Washington. The station where it leaves from has some great items to purchase. There is a museum as well on the history of the Cog which is very interesting. The ride itself is fun. The guide on the train tells you everything you want to know about the Cog, the mountain, how it was built, etc. Very interesting indeed. We loved it. People might think you are paying a lot, but it's worth it to help preserve such a wonderful train. There is plenty of parking, you are not crowded on to a train and you can walk around the top of Mt. Washington for quite a while until the next train comes and gets you.
