“Great Family Vacation”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We visited the Attitash Mountain Village for our winter school break week, with our 6 and 7 year olds. The resort is conveniently located right across the street from Ski Attitash. From our rooms, we can see the ski lifts and the slopes. The guests at the resort get discount lift tickets and rentals there. For people who like to ski, the location is terrific. The resort is also only about 15 minutes’ drive to North Conway, which has the big outlet mall and lots of quaint small local shops; so shoppers would also like this location.

We checked in on a Tuesday early evening. The check in was easy and prompt; the front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful; they answered all our questions and offered ideas for area activities as it was the first time we visited this part of New Hampshire.

The unit we exchanged into through Platinum Interchange was a 2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse; the size is about 1200 sq ft on 2 floors of living space. We found this to be plenty of room for a family of 4 to move around and spread things (aka, kids’ toys and gadgets!) around. The official listing says occupancy of 6, but we think it could accommodate 8.

The 2 spacious bedrooms are on the second floor of the unit, along with a full bath and the huge laundry room. The first floor has another full bath (shower, no tub), along with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with a gas fireplace. There are plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, dishes, toilet papers, paper towels, soaps, etc. We found these were all sufficient for the whole week without us having to buy any extra; with the exception being the laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. Big plus for us was the 3 TV sets; one for each bedroom, and one for the living room. The children got spoiled for having their own TV for their vacation. The minus being that the unit décor and furnishing are a bit dated; some showing wear and tear at various spots. However, we were very satisfied that everything was kept functional and clean.

We did not see any planned resort activities listed nor offered. Perhaps it’s not high season in early March, but we had forgotten to ask if there are any offered for the summer high season.

The resort has 2 pools, one in-door and one outdoor; it also has 3 hot tubs, 1 in door within the pool and 2 outdoors (one just outside the indoor pool overlooking the ski hills, and is opened in the winter time too). We did not go check on the other outdoor hot tub on the other side of the resort; but we were told it’s open. Attitash Mountain Village has the warmest indoor pool water temperature we have ever experienced. It also has the hot tube right inside the pool so it was just so great for parents to sit in the hot tub and watch the kids swim and play in the pool. It is our favourite indoor swimming pool so far (and we have been to quite some number of “heated” pools). The indoor heated pool is located in the registration building at the front of the resort, along with a full restaurant and game room. There are also DVD rentals at the front desk.

The resort also has a gym and exercise room, but it’s located in another building far from the registration building. It would have made more sense to have the gym located next to the indoor pool and main building. We find the various buildings in the resort are a bit too spread out. We can’t imagine how the guests in the further located buildings having to walk quite some distance to use the indoor pool and the restaurant; not something we would look forward to in cold winter days/nights. We were very lucky as our unit was in building 1 which is just around the corner from the main building.

This resort is not the fanciest or most up-to-date resort we have been to (ie, TV's are not the thin flat screen ones); but we had a great time and the kids loved everything about their stay here. We like the Attitash Mountain Village for the spacious and well equipped unit, the great location, the warm pool, and the friendly staff. We found it was just perfect for our little family vacation. We certainly will consider coming back in the future.

Room Tip: Buildings 1, 2, and 3 are closest to the ski hills and the main building

My wife and I just returned from a wee at Attitash Mountain Village. We had a studio condo booked through and RCI exchange. The condo was very clean and well furnished and equipped. A full kitchen made catering very easy. We had a Murphy Bed, which when pushed up into the wall, left a very good area for the two of us to move around in.

Like many timeshares, the condo was starting to show signs of wear-and-tear. Nothing serious, just getting tired. There is a lot to do in the area, and the resort has indoor and outdoor pools, gyms, ping-pong, x-country ski/hiking trails, tennis courts, and decent restaurant and bar, and more. The location is awesome. Attitish Mountain across the street offers great skiing, as do Bretton Woods, Wild Cat and Cranmore, all of which and in a 20 minute drive. There's a lot of x-country skiing centres too.

We'll definitely being going back, hopefully in the summer with our grandchildren!

Room Tip: If you opt for a studio, get one with a Murphy Bed. That way, you get decent daytime space to move a...

We found an amazing rate for a "cozy" condo at the Attitash Mountain Village from CM2 vacations (http://cm2vacationproperties.com/). For a very reasonable price, our family was able to stay in this condo for 3 nights for what it would cost to stay in other area hotels for one night. The "cozy" condo is certainly cozy ... one large room that has a murphy bed, a pull-out couch, a dining table, a nightstand, a TV, a dresser and a small kitchen area. But ... during February vacation in New Hampshire, you don't spent much time in the condo. The kids loved having the game room and hot tub downstairs (in building 7) and a very short walk to the full pool, restaurant & skating rink. For the money, it was decent. The furnishings could have been more updated and the pool area could have been cleaner, but frankly for the low cost it was just fine. Be sure to ask the front desk for discounted lift tickets and recommendations for non-mountain rentals, then can save you even more $,

Room Tip: Building 7 has it's own hot tub, steam room, gym, ping pong table, fooz ball table and a couple...

Great Condo with windows facing mountain. Cozy, convenient spot that feels like home. Walk to chair lift, back to condo for lunch. Pool and hot tub greatly appreciated by kids. Lots of room so no one feels squished which is good with a the ski gear!

This was a great place for our family to stay. Our condo was clean and comfortable. Fixtures etc could use some updating but everything worked. There were several hot tubs in the resort plus an indoor pool and game room. We had trouble getting the DVD player to work and someone came over to help us within 30 min.
You can walk to the base of Attitash and are within 15 miles of Wildcat and Cranmore.

We stayed on an RCI exchange in a 1 bedroom 8/4. We were in building 8 which was a fairly close walk to the amenities and skiing. Our unit was a lock off unit on 2 floors. 1st floor featured large living room with gas fireplace (only source of heat controlled by thermostat) flat screen tv and DVD player, full kitchen (stocked well), pullout sofa and a Murphy bed, full bath with jacuzzi tub/shower, and a washer/dryer. The unit came with 1 roll of paper towels, 2 dish washer packets, 1 washing detergent, and a box of tissues. The made it clear that you don't receive refills or towel exchanges during your stay. Upstairs was a large bedroom with queen size bed, pull out sofa, huge jacuzzi tub and a stand up shower. It was plenty of room for a family of 3-4, but i don't think I would want to stay a week with more than that. They provided pool towels in the unit for the outdoor hot tub which was across the parking lot. At the indoor pool they provided towels for you to use and leave there. The indoor pool also had a hot tub inside and another one outside. The pool was heated nicely and was very enjoyable. We ate at the onsite restaurant one time. We got pizza and it was very good. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

We stayed here on our skii trip to Attitash mountain. The resort is right on the foot hills of the skii area. Our room was also ver strategically placed. We stayed at the blueberry village which was across the street from the concierge and restaurant and skii lift area was adjacent. We had a studio rented. It was huge and had a cute fireplace along with all the amenities such as a full kitchen, dish washer and laundry. We had a very pleasant stay at this resort. The pool and the outdoor jacuzzi was cherry on the ice. After a rough day skii in the mountain, relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi was a boon. Our only complaint was the bed. It was a spring bed and we woke up with back ache everyday. For a resort of this high quality, the bed could be of a decent quality. This is the reason I am rating this average since sleep quality is most important in a resort. If they had better bed, i would rated this place excellent. All the good restaurant were close by and the reception desk was very helpful in providing suggestions for activities, place to eat etc.

Room Tip: Try to request the room around blueberry village since its closer to the skii area.
