We had to stop because of the sign which read 'Bacon!' The food was terrific especially the homemade raisin bread. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. They also have seating at the bar if you don't want to wait for a table. Great experience!

Surprisingly good breakfast at a location which has housed many restaurants. It's worth the trip and hopefully it will remain for awhile. Very clean and bright. Not many tables, but I'd wait in line for breakfast again.

This location has housed many a different restaurants over the years and now the Sunrise Shack has the honor. We frequent the area fairly often throughout the seasons and have wanted to try it. It was highly recommended by the local INN where we were staying. We are big breakfast people and finally had a chance to stop on our way home from a mini-escape. It is conveniently located right along 302 so easy to spot. We were not disappointed. Lots of cars in the parking lot which is always a good sign. It is very small and typical diner type décor – cozy and casual. We seated ourselves and service with coffee was prompt. Varied menu with lots to choose from and dishes named after local trails, mountains, AMC camps & such. We opted for omelets – something that had everything in it & the Pinkham Notch – yum yum yum. Plentiful with lots of fillings, hash browns good, good coffee always flowing. Some interesting breakfast bowls went by that also looked delicious. Service excellent – efficient and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit to try something new. Noticed they even serve beer/wine. Recommend! (One negative – could not find any website where one can view the menu, etc. There is a facebook link but not everyone in the world does facebook or wants to)

My husband and I went on two seperate occasions and both times we had an excellent experience. Pancakes were delicious and my husbands blueberry pancakes were full of real, fresh blueberries, not canned like other places. We also had eggs and they were cooked perfectly. The bacon, ham and sausage are also delicuous! And they give you real maple syrup! Most places make you pay extra for it. All around great place to have a great breakfast!!
