“What a gem of a restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

After a long drive through the White Mountains we pulled over at this little road side cafe. We ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, a clam strip roll, fries and a slice of cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. Everything was wonderful! We have never seen so much actual lobster in a soup. The clams were tender and tasty and cooked just right, very sweet. The french fries were crispy and tasty. The pie screamed cherry and was clearly home made. The vanilla ice cream was a perfect match to the pie. The service was very good and the atmosphere was a hoot! Notice the fishing rods holding the drapes up. What a gem of a restaurant.

“Huge portions and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

We visited Cabin Fever twice in 3 days. The first visit was dinner. We tried the burger, whole belly clams and lobster bisque. The portions were all huge and the food was good, but the whole belly clams were the best! They were fresh, the breading was light and the cornbread was delicious!

During our first visit, the waitress mentioned they would have strawberry-rhubarb pie in a couple of days. We went back just for the pie - YUM! It was well worth the return trip.

This place is cute and I love to support local family owned businesses. The only downside was the service. Our waitress seemed over-worked and unhappy. And the food took a while, but to be fair, they were packed during both our visits. We wouldn't let the service keep us from returning.

“Thoughtful menu offerings and great ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012 via mobile

We joined friends for lunch at Cabin Fever and we were very pleased with all aspects of our experience. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant, the dining room was whimsical, cozy, and clean. The food was delicious and well presented. Seafood was cooked correctly and hot! The salad was generous and fresh and onion rings were outrageously delicious with a great sauce on the side. The lobster bisque was thick and full of meat. This little gem is worth the drive if it is out of your way.

“Great place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2012 via mobile

Stopped here after a rainy hike. Very cute & cabin feel inside & service was great. Lobster bisque had lots of chunks & a good flavor. My husband had the captain's platter and he really enjoyed it. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad & loved the fact that I had a choice of grilled chicken. The salad was big & it was very tasty. No drafts but they have bottled beer & wine & mentioned they would be adding taps soon. They also serve Gifford's ice cream. A good place to eat.
