A basic motel with large rooms, Wi-Fi, cable TV, room phone, etc. Quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Pet friendly. Excellent location - cross country ski centers and snowmobile rental offices less than five minutes away, local restaurants a walk away, North Conway malls, cinema and restaurants 10 minutes away and Attitash downhill slopes three minutes away. Ideal for skiers. A good price for the budget minded. Stayed a week in February and was very satisfied - wlll return.

Gross, smelly, dingy. Beds had to be 50 + years old. Would have been unhealthy to stay in that room.

We found ourselves at The Villager for the night on Memorial Day and the opening weekend of Storyland in NH. The Villager is a small, family run establishment. Our kids loved the trainset and toys in the yard. My husband and I loved the rates, the air conditioning, the cable tv and the good nights sleep. When you travel on a budget and with little ones, it's nice to be able to find a good place to stay! we recommend these guys all the time.

Room Tip: Not sure if there are preferred rooms but they only have about 20 in the strip.

Stayed one night here whilst touring the area. Run by a friendly family, other guests all pleasant too. Our room was large and clean, if dated. Breakfast was included with waffles, cereal, juice and coffee. Relaxed atmosphere, good basic and low budget choice, we literally just slept here and moved on the next day. Downside is that there is nowhere within walking distance to eat. You can book directly with the hotel which may be cheaper.

We were traveling during the Columbus Day weekend (and Canadian Thanksgiving) - so admittedly, it was probably more expensive than usual. We paid $335 (for 2 nights, 4 people 2 queen beds). The overall impression was of a property that was a little run down and in need of updating. The office leaves the worst impression - kids shoes & old toys, dirty, worn carpet etc. The property had hanging baskets filled with dead flowers, ashtrays with cigarette butts and the odd bits of garbage strewn here and there. The rooms are OK, but don't offer much in the way of amenities - no coffee maker or toiletries (just a dispenser on the tub wall) - don't think there was anything in the dispensers. Our sheets had some dark stains on them - kind of creepy & gross. We were there mainly to shop, so next time I'd try to be closer to North Conway, as there were numerous motels, B&B's & Inns. The continental breakfast didn't appeal - Sunny D, weak coffee, sugary cereal and liquid waffle mix in a small, grungy room.

pros: quiet motel, price, clean

cons: dated, not the most comfortable beds, charged us USD8.50 booking fee (for using expedia), ancient TV, poor breakfast

Not sure if we'd stay here again, cheap yes but very basic.

When we first checked in I was a bit worried as the check in office was not very clean, dirty carpet etc. and the surrounding gardens were a bit neglected, however when we opened the door of our chalet we were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely big clean room with windows and doors either end................very clean and very bright.. No coffee maker but everything else included, breakfast was only cereal and waffles which could do with improvement but for the price of $59 we were very happy with our large 2 queen bed room. It is in a lovely quiet location and very peaceful and pretty surroundings. Would definitely stay here again and can recommend it to anyone who appreciates value for money.

Room Tip: We paid an extra $10 for a motel room with queen bed, there is also a double room for $49 available...
