“Family Fun”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

This is a wonderful location for families. The beach is clean. One can rent a cabana for $20 for a full day. Beach chairs rent for $5 a day. There are paddle boards and paddle boats to rent, in addition to jet skis. Buoys clearly mark separate areas for water activities. Thus, a family can come to this beach and spend an entire day on the beach and in the lake for a relatively low price tag, if arriving without beach equipment as we did. There is a snack bar with smoothies, hot dogs, etc. Restrooms are clean. A very well-run facility for families to enjoy. We were in Lake Tahoe area for a week and spent two of our days here. We will definitely return. I should mention there is a parking fee of $7. If you get there early, around 9am, you can find great parking near the snack bar, restrooms and entry to the beach area. Truly, a fun place to spend day with family.

“Great activities - great bar”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

They have beach chairs to rent, and all sorts of water sports are available here. We brought our own beach chairs and just loved the beautiful view while sitting in the shade. The Rum Runner drink was fabulous and a good bargin.

“went looking for affordable jet skiing- found great beach for entire family”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

We started by talking to places that offer jet skiing just past the casinos in South LT on the California side. The jet skis were $135 per hour before 11 am and they offered a $15 discount before 11 am with a coupon ($120). My son had left his ID at the condo so we went back to the Kingbury area to get it. We turned down Hwy 50 away from the casinos when we came back down and about 2 miles down there was Round Hill Pines Beach- owned by the Forest Service. We paid $5 for parking when we told them we were going to use the jet skis instead of the $8 usually charged. The low lots were full but they had golf carts up and down the hills taking folks back and forth to the beach. We walked down but don't think we would've made it back up later on. We were happy for the golf cart transportation.

One last thing I noticed - there was an air compressor there that folks were using to fill up their personal flotation boats and floats. I thought that was a nice touch.

We got to meet the owner and his wife. The staff got very busy with the weddings occuring that afternoon and they came and took us up in the golf carts. The land is owned by the park service but all the concessions are theirs.

The jet skis here were $100 per hour with a $10 off coupon anytime (in the little Reno coupon book). The boys had to wait several hours to get the jet skis as they were out and reserved. Once they got them - they enjoyed the time they had on the jetskis and the bay.

The water sports place on the beach was called H20. On the beach was also a restaurant and two bars, a beach to have a beautiful wedding on (we saw one that afternoon) and a couple of snack venues and a rum bar on the beach.

All kinds of boating equipment was available, chairs to rent ($5) and tents. It was really a nice beach with some nice nice folks working there. The park and beach were very easy to get to. The beach was more small broken shells - or maybe very very coarse sand. Sand Harbor Beach (on around on east side of lake) was already full when we got here - or so the sign on the highway said - no walk ins either there. This was a perfect stop for us then! This had plenty of space to hang but the beach was crowded. Grab the shade when you see it. It was Saturday! We had a nice lunch at the grill there too and great drinks over the afternoon! All in all, it was a great day on Lake Tahoe. Stumbled into the perfect spot for us.

“Pre-cruise lunch”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

Stopped to grab lunch before heading out on the "Bleu Wave" cruise to Emerald Bay. Grilled chicken, cheese & jalapeño sandwich was delicious! Basically a bar with outdoor seating just off the beach, but the atmosphere is a lot of fun. A good place to grab a bite while at the beach & marina.

“Rented Jet Skis, Fantastic”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

Great place for jet ski rentals! Many places in Tahoe, you have to motor very slowly out into the open lake. It took 4 minutes to get past the buoy and we were off.

We would return in a heartbeat! Go before 9 AM and you get a discounted price and the whole lake to yourself. It costs $8 to park at the marina for a day.
