room 315 was on the 3rd floor. one of it's walls is shared with the elevator. the room was about 10'x10', including the bathroom. the sleeping area was just barely wide enough for 1 twin bed and a tiny side table.
the good stuff:
it had a rather large tv with cable and hbo, lots of channels
internet access, with a doohicky that you got when you checked in.
service was friendly, they even brought extra pillows when called
casino in lobby, food court and restaurant in lobby
excellent steak and eggs full breakfast 24hrs for $3.99

the bad:
had 1 twin bed
heard elevator all night
no plug in bathtub
internet was down the entire time
had to run hot water for 10 mins before it was hot
1 small ice machine located on 1st floor
1 soda machine cost $1.25 each

After long day of driving my tractor trailer, I wanted a hotel room just to relax, watch some pro football and surf the internet. A quick check online showed the Qualtiy Inn at a very cheap price i.e. $45. Well, the reason it was so cheap was the size of the room. It couldn't have been any bigger than 12 feet long by 6 feet wide not including the bathroom. But hey, it was worth it if only for the chain's "Stay 2 nights, get 1 free" fall promotion.

Pluses: Free welcome drink in the Casino, free breakfast, Supermarket across the street (Raley's, I think), and an outstanding Chinese restaurant next door to the Supermarket, a huge parking lot for Trucks and RV's, very friendly staff, very fast broadband internet.

Minuses; Just 1, the size of the room! But, I'd stay there again, in the same room at that price.

We (me, my husband, my 17-year-old niece, my 5-year-old and my infant son) stayed here one night during a drive between Illinois and Oregon. We originally were going to stay in another hotel, but after seeing that room, we moved to the Quality Inn.

The room itself was nice, large, and quiet, with comfortable beds and extra room to move around. We were on the third floor, and we didn't have any cigarette smell or outside noises. The a/c worked well and it was very clean. We requested a crib but it never showed up, but our baby slept with our niece, so it worked out.

My problem came the next morning, when at 9 a.m., my husband went down to have breakfast with my daughter and ask to extend our checkout by an hour (from 11 to noon). The woman at the front desk told him we would not be given an extension because the hotel was booked for that night and they needed to get our room ready. Okay, well, not convenient for us, but seemed reasonable. But wait, a couple behind my husband are there to check out, but ask to extend their stay another night, and it's given to them. What???? They can't allow us an extra hour, but they can give someone a room in a 'booked' hotel? So then my husband asks if we would be able to extend the stay another night. Well, of course we can do that! So the room is available for another whole night, but they have to have us out because the room is booked????

If my husband was told it's policy to not extend checkout, then I would understand. However, we felt that we were lied to, and when we tried to address this, we were given a runaround -- that's not what we meant, that's not how it is, it's not our problem -- with no one even offering an apology. They even charged him for the crib that never showed up, although he was given the refund after he paid.

It's amazing how customer service can totally change how you view a hotel: this hotel went from being one of the better I've stayed at, to the worst so far.

We only spent one night here on our way home from San Diego, and we arrived late, but I would not stay here again. First, though the room was non-smoking, it smelled of smoke, which probably seeps up from the smoky casino. The lobby smells of smoke since it is tied into the casino. The hallway was dirty. The room furniture is outdated, though it seemed fairly clean till we found a wad of used bandaids in the bed sheets. Of course, we found these in the middle of the night and were not moving the kids at that point. When I notified the front desk of this upon check out, they only said that they would notify housekeeping, but did not apologize. Anyway, even for a quick stop on a long drive, I would not stay here again.

The Quality Inn/Model T Casino was a bit scary looking from the outside, but inside our room was clean and comfortable.

Cons: The furnishings and bathroom interior are old and worn and we could hear the person in the room above us walking around. Our room faced the RV parking area and the interstate, so I had to sleep with the windows closed since it was quite loud.

Pros: The front desk person was very friendly, and he gave us coupons for a free breakfast in the casino restaurant. This was a nice surprise since the website did not mention that breakfast was included. For dinner we went to the diner across the street, Sids, and the food was good.

Overall I would stay here again if I received a good price.

This was the best place on our entire trip! The rooms were decorated beautifully, and the place seemed almost brand new! The Front Desk Clerks were very courteous and very accomodating to me and my entire family. Management here truly cares about Customer Service! The Entire place was great! The Staff throughout the hotel and also throughout the casino were always smiling! This has to be one of the best places to stay in this wonderful little city! We would reccomend this place to families who need to stay somewhere where they accomodate anyone. Children and Adults alike!
