First time to Wendover, so did not know what to expect Peppermill was decent, rooms were spacious, clean, hotel seemed to be abit dated, not much to do if you are not a gambler, the concert facility is really nice we saw Lynryd Skynyrd & Diamond Rio excellent shows, concert venue is a five minute walk from hotel. Try the breakfast at the Red Garter Casino, worth it!!!!!

If you are looking at this review, you are probably trying to decide if you should make this trip. If you are flying in on one of the deals offered to travel here, I say by all means book it. If you are thinking about driving out of your way to come here, I would say probably not. But if you want to gamble its a great trip. Theres not a whole lot else to do here. The town is tiny, the airport is tiny but the casinos are Las Vegas like. If you come on the right days you might see a pretty good show.

We have been going to Wendover 2-3 times a year since 2005. This was our first time staying at the Peppermill, we usually stay at the Montego or Rainbow these hotels were full when we booked our trip. We had heard many good things about the rooms at Peppermill so we were anticipating a good trip.

The room we were first given was on the second floor at the back of the hotel, the room had a view of the wall of the next wing. The room was small, dark, but we were shock to see the mattress on one of the beds collapsed / buckled on one side. Went back to the front desk and asked for another room. After some discussion between the front desk clerk and someone in the back room we were given another room. Although the mattresses were in better shape the room was not the cleanest. After staying in the other hotels I was very disappointed in the condition of the rooms at the Peppermill and how our concerns were handled. If this had been our first time to Wendover we would not return!

Thank you for your comment on your recent visit to the Peppermill. Our mattresses are actually less than two years old and are double pillow top Serta mattresses. It sounds like the box spring might have come off the metal frame on one side of the bed. I apologize this wasn’t caught by the housekeeping staff and for the condition of the room. We are in the process of renovating these rooms with comfortable showers and white marble on the floors and walls to give our guests a more comfortable stay and to create more room to move about. We do hope this renovation will be complete on you next visit and you let us know if we have succeeded at making these rooms more comfortable.

Driving from Oregon to Illinois, first stop was at the Peppermill in Wendover. I ask about discounts, NONE; I anticipate a bad number but $55.00 got me a Double. Walk into the room; WOW...That it, just WOW. Great night sleep, great dinner at Buffet, Great everything.

We recently returned from a 3 night stay at Peppermill. We stayed in a corner suite on the 2nd floor that was outstanding. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We peeked in the older rooms and they weren't as nice. Our room was updated. The steam shower was great as was the jacuzzi in the room. The Mexican restaurant in Peppermill has great food but slow/inattentive service and it is a little pricy. Overall it's a great place to stay and gamble. There's a free 24hr shuttle that will take you around to the various other casinos and even the golf course which is A+

This was our second visit to Wendover & we wanted to try another hotel/casino for our stay. In order to be fair and compare accordingly we stayed in a mini-suite like we did last time (and because I wanted a tub to soak in). The room was clean but in need of a little TLC! The door to the steam shower had something along the frame that looked a bit like lime scale build up, the water spray from the head wasn't consistent, and the directionality if the steam could cause possible burns on the feet. Upon stepping out of the shower the floor was extremely slick - not recommended for people with balance issues. The jacuzzi tub worked well but there was a definite need for attention by maintenance. The door to the cabinet was loose and there was only one available outlet for charging phones or other electronic accessories.

Now for the good! The bed was comfortable, the maintenance crew came by quite quickly to replace the smoke detector battery, the room was clean, the view was quite nice, and the staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Each and every staff member I dealt with was extraordinary in their customer service skills & I felt most welcome! The layout of the casino was efficient, as was the area of the hotel. I didn't get lost once! This was the first time I played anything but the penny slots! I must say an extra thank you to my 1st ever 3 card poker dealer - Terri she was quite wonderful and informative. She was instrumental at making a newbie feel comfortable in learning a new game, even when other players weren't 100% thrilled about it! There were a few other dealers that were not as customer service oriented and worked better with more seasoned players. I cannot fault them for that. However, there was one more dealer that worked the "graveyard" type shift on Saturday the 8th of June into Sunday the 9th!.. Sadly I cannot remember his name - I believe it may h ave started with a G... He had dark hair and a wicked fun sense of humor! I have to admit that he & Terri made my visit more than worth it because of their customer service skills.
All in all - the Peppermill deserves kudos and many stars... More if the rooms get updated just a bit! We will return to Wendover and will continue to compare hotels. As for the casinos themselves, we visited all of them and so far - the Peppermill is our favorite BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE!!!

Also, you have got to try Pancho & Willies, the food was amazing!

We stopped at the Peppermill on a road trip from South Lake Tahoe. This was a very nice hotel. The room was clean, updated, and very quiet. It was a little hard to find our 4th floor room since the elevator only went to the 3rd floor but we found our way.

We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. Service was slow but the waiter was great. The Casino is fun with lots and lots of machine to chose from.

We would stay here again.
