The Montego Bay casino is great retreat from the heat in Salt Lake City. As members of the rewards program, we love taking the hour and a half drive out to Mentego to soak in their pool, dine in their great restaurants and have drinks at Ted's bar.

The hotel and restaurants staff have always been helpful. They have some super friendly & funny dealers and pit bosses.

We definitely recommend joining the passport rewards program.

The room rate was very reasonable, something like $69 per night. For that rate, we weren't expecting much. We were overwhelmed by not only the size of our room, but also the high-end appointments, such as the big-screen TV mounted on the wall, and a the shower with a door instead of a curtain. The shower also has a seat, detachable shower head, and is tiled all around, even the ceiling. Two vanities were in the bathroom and the toilet was separate yet from the main bathroom area, offering more privacy. We were given a room with a view of the pool. A lot of care was put into putting this room together. At this point, my travel partner and I had been on a cross-country trip for three weeks and had stayed at numerous hotels. This room was by far the nicest of all the rooms we had stayed in. There was a bit of a walk from the elevator to our room -- felt like the hallways would never end, but it was so worth it. The casino, on the other hand, wasn't as kind to us, but we did have a nice room to retreat to once our pockets were empty. :)

We stayed here coming and going from California. The rooms are OK, but a little dated. Guess I shouldn't complain for $59 a night ($75 after resort fee and tax), probably got what I paid for. This is a casino hotel and they do a poor job of smoke removal on the main level, including the restaurants, and some of it even seeped into our non-smoking floor. Big issue if you have much luggage to take to the room is that they only have 5 or 6 luggage carts to take your stuff to the room, whicn is an issue as the rooms can be 5th floor or higher and this is a huge complex, so lots of walking to your room. We had to have security round up a luggage cart (waited 30 minutes) last night (July 1). Again, the rooms are somewhat dated, our TV worked sometimes and not others. Good thing is the curtains are heavy duty to filter all the light out. Beds are ok, nothing special and the sheets and towel are acceptably clean. My three equates to a C + or a B - .

Room Tip: Ask for a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor

We were headed back to Wyoming from Reno and stopped in here to eat. The buffet was very good for around $16 each. We decided to play in casino and started winning so my husband went to check on room price and we were amazed that it was only $77! That was our cheapest hotel we stayed in on our week long vacation. Room was very large, clean, actually it was pretty amazing just beautiful! So glad we found this place and want to go back. Very nice hotel and highly recommended!

We stayed at this hotel as a 2nd option, since the Quality Inn was a dump. We were just passing thru for the night, first time in this area. This hotel was nice, large hotel - can get a little lost getting to your hotel after check-in, but narrow down the floor your on and use the side entrance, much easier to haul luggage in and out. The room was clean and spacious. Worked out well for the one night stay.

Here is the deal: Because Wendover is a trashy dump that I only go to for concerts, this is the only place to stay. The other places are like a 1/2 on a scale of 1 to 5 in the real world, and Wendover is certainly not the real world. I gave Montego Bay a 4 because this is the cleanest, friendlest, non-grossest place in Wendover to stay. With that being said, if I were in Las Vegas, this place would get 1/4 of a star. With that being said, I am a snot when it comes to hotels, I am used to better accomodations. I will throw this out here for Montego Bay, the Romanza Grill really is phenomenal. Really, you cannot get better food in Wendover. I am not the biggest fan of italian, but I am considering taking a trip to Wendover just to eat there again.
