First trip to Wendover and of course we had heard horror stories about all of the hotels there. We finally chose Montego Bay, hopeful that we had made the correct choice.
The room was quite frankly the cleanest and freshest we have experienced in a long time. The hallways, bathrooms, public areas were pristine. Fantastic!
We went with $100 to spend on slots and won back all our money. So much fun. We were looking forward to the free drinks but really didn't get to take advantage because the servers were clearly focused on supplying the big players with the drinks. I tracked down one woman and she wouldn't give me a free drink until I was seated at a slot! Bad night or typical service? Around 3am it was less crowded and the servers started to pay attention to us which was nice.
Eating at the restaurants in there was OK. The menu looks great but I suspect much of what we ate was processed and frozen because it tasted bland.
We are planning to return to Montego Bay for the slots and the comfortable clean rooms. The service is rather disappointing, hit or miss, and the food nothing special but it wasn't terrible.
I do think $160 we paid for the room was too much and would try to negotiate a better rate next time. (I uses to work in the hotel industry so just to let you know you can get a better rate if you keep asking, sometimes less than half of the advertised rate so keep that in mind next time you try to book a room anywhere) Anyway, yes, go to Montego Bay and have fun at the bright casino. And win!

My husband i spent from Oct 15 to Oct 18 at Montego Bay
The room was great. The slotts were good.We played alot of slotts and won enough to bring back 95% of the money we took. For the most part the staff was rude and dont make you feel welcome.
We had one drink server that was so rude and we tipped $2.00 for each time and thanked her for bringing them the look in her eyes was get out go home.after about 4 rounds of drinks over about 3 hours we decided to chg area of the casino,We went to the nuggett across the street won more money on penny slott machine and a couple of times got over $100.00
and several other machines $40.00 .Their service was great and the drinks were served with out hunting someone down.
The only down side to Montego Bay suite the you can not turn the air down less than 70 degrees.and it did get hot in your room in early am.
We ate at the Paradise dinner at Montego Bay and it was great
We ate at their buffett for breakfast oct 17 2007 ,The eggs ,biscutes hash, and remaining few choices were cold and except for the biscutes you tasted so bad one bite was all you could stand, and the only thing you could eat was a ceral.I talked to a few other ladies and they said the noon and dinner buffett was just as bad,
I would go back to visit Montego Bay to
play their slotts again,

My mother, my two handicapped sisters and I took advantage of the MAX package offered out of Albuquerque on Sept. 7-10. We checked our luggage at the Alb. Sunport , we had a fun flight and got into the little airport in Wendover. We were all taken to our resorts-Peppermill, Rainbow and, ours, Montego Bay. Our room keys, coupons and return instructions were waiting for us at the desk. We went to our rooms-we paid the extra $20 for them-and were delighted. We stayed in the old section-closer to elevators. We went to dinner at the Paradise Grill-very good and went to our rooms-our luggage had been delivered. Shuttles are readily available. Check-out is as easy as check-in. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We will definitely go back.

Just returned from one of MaxAir's junkets out of Bellingham to Wendover. Everything we had read was right on the money. Rooms were dark but large and clean. Service was fine. Food was
good, the steak house at the Rainbow was excellent. Had lots of food comps, I don't think we paid for a meal. Did the Bonneville Salt Flats tour for 20.00/person; enjoyed that very much. We personally found the slots to be loose, winning at the Peppermill and Montego Bay. For the excellent price we paid for the 3 day getaway we would definately take the trip again.

Flew from Bellingham WA on the full Maxair Boeing 737-400. While as noted elsewhere the room decor is dark and there are lots of plastic plants & flowers all over, we had a great time. The plane has good legroom & comfortable seats; the king jacuzzi room was huge and had a plasma TV; all 4 of our family group had good luck with the slots, and the food was generally good with quick service in the Paradise Grill where we ate. Live music was good too. Comps help with meal costs and 4 x $25 + 1 x $50 cash certificates were awarded on the flight down. We preferred the Montego Bay casino to the Rainbow & Peppermill, with shuttles every 15 minutes between them (all same owner). The Nugget casino (2nd floor skywalk connects it with the Montego Bay) was good too but too warm for our comfort. All had lots of 1c & multidenomination slots, and were pretty quiet. The 3 day packages from various parts of the country using Maxair are great value. We will all be going back of course!
