Description: 6,225 feet above sea level in the Sierra Nevadas sits Lake Tahoe, spanning the bold state line between California and Nevada. With a leg on either side of that divide, you can bet this popular resort area has a slightly split personality. Roughly half the visitors here plan to kick back California-style on the side that bears the Golden State's name, to engage in low-key sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and boating, while the other half heads straight for Nevada, and all that that name heralds. Ritzy attractions, big-name entertainment and the lure of the jackpot beckon at abundant glittering casinos there, so, what? You can't decide? Ehh - don't sweat it. We've struck a happy balance for ye of many interests. The Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is located in Harvey's Resort and Casino, just 5 minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort and only 1,000 yards from Lake Tahoe itself. So whether you gamble your money in casinos or your life on the mountains, the Hard Rock Cafe Lake Tahoe is the perfect place. Our Alpine ski lodge decor makes you feel right at home if you're ready to relax, but if gaming the night away is more your style, our triangular bar in the restaurant's center features 18 video poker machines to make you feel like a real high roller. And if you've worked up an appetite from all this, you better believe you've come to the right place. Nevada Magazine rated Hard Rock Cafe Tahoe the #1 burger in the state! So step inside the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and walk the state line for a rocking great time.

Good food, but as expected it was a bit pricey. The server was very helpful & had lots of information about the local area. We appreciated that a lot as we were unfamiliar with the night life in the area.
Burger was cooked just right!

Just had a beer and appetizer. Can't remember the name of it but it was something "jumbo", which was a little bit of everything. Very disappointed, all fried, seemed like it was probably frozen and put in the deep fryer. Very basic and very disappointed.

I would like to apologize for not meeting your expectations at the Hard Rock in Lake Tahoe. We pride ourselves on delivering quality food and service to all of our guests and it is clear by your feedback that failed to live up to our commitments. I do understand your frustration with the “jumbo Combo” appetizer and this is featuring mostly bar type items that are fried items. I hope that you will give us a second chance the next time in the Tahoe area and find some items that are prepared to your liking. Please feel free to contact me off line to discuss this issue in more depth. You can contact me at lake_tahoe_gm@hardrock.com. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely
Jeremy DesJardins

This Hard Rock is consistent with others, so you know what you're getting. We had drinks there twice and the service at the bar was very good. It did not seem to be as loud as others, which I liked. Typical Hard Rock food, good, but not great. I'd go back again.

Visited during the Easter week, but didn't have to wait too long for a seat. Food is of the usual HR quality and menu choice is OK. My pulled pork burger was just as good as any of the other HR's we have visited, and the beer just as wet! Staff were very friendly and service was pretty good on the whole.
Its obviously an easy place for families or friends to chill out over dinner and drinks.
Would I go back? Yes.

Title pretty much sums it up. If you like Hard Rock's menu, ou'll like this. Good burgers and salads. Makes a great casual dining experience. While its in Harvey's Casino, you wouldn't know it from inside. Staff is friendly and gets the job done. The have an indoor wooden deck section that borders the casino floor which is great for people watching. Live bands pla on Saturday night. Bands range from great to decent with a dog a couple of times a year.
