Description: Philosophy of the Food: Tradition and Uncompromising Quality The philosophy of the food at Mirabelle is to respect the tradition of the restaurant and its food, as well as to respect the uncompromising quality of each ingredient that goes into each dish. At Mirabelle, it is not about the plate, or the flatware, or the stemware: it is about quality of the food on that plate, the quality of the wine in the stemware, and the quality, warmth and tradition of the service. Commitment to these ideas is what has brought Mirabelle this far and is what will sustain Mirabelle into the future. The menu at Mirabelle will feature as much local and seasonal product as possible to stay true to the concept of fine French food. Whenever possible whatever can be made to standard in-house, will be made in-house: i.E., All pastas, certain cured meats and charcuterie, and certain fresh cheeses. The menu at Mirabelle will always reflect what is at the peak of seasonality and as local as possible, which is the way the French have been cooking for hundreds of years, tradition. Because of this constant commitment to quality, seasonality and tradition, the menu is well thought out and tightly focused on the concept. It may seem, compared to some other similarly sized area restaurants, fairly small: do a few things, but do them extremely well. Or, for music lovers: play only the notes you want to play. Menu items are designed to be reasonably sized, to encourage the guest to order multiple courses. The menu will, for the most part, be a la carte style. At times throughout the year, due to seasonality and to reflect specific holidays, multi-course, fixed price menu will be offered along with the regular menu. Philosophy of the Service: Warm, friendly, professional and treats the guest as a guest. Each guest at Mirabelle is treated as you would a guest in your home. Hospitality is a lost art, and we at Mirabelle are bent on bringing this art back. When guests come to a restaurant they are hoping to be treated with great care and understanding. We want our guests to return not just because of the food, but because they love the hospitality they receive while they are with us. The service staff at Mirabelle is well-trained and knowledgeable about the food being served and preparations, as well as wine and spirit savvy. All of this combines to offer the guest a very special dining experience that can be enjoyed for any reason or no particular reason at all.

Read all the 5 star reviews. They are accurate. Those reviewers who experienced less than 5 star food and service should go back again. This was a wonderful, cozy dining experience with great service. The fixed price menu was a bargain and afforded a good variety to choose from. Compared to the over priced, over fed and over populated casino restaurants this is heaven. We were glad we went a bit early, as by 7:00 p.m. It had a bit of a rush, so I suggest 6 or 8:00.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, three of us decided to try Mirabelle's and we are so glad we did! Our meals were outstanding! I had the grilled chicken over the most tender fettuccine in a cream sauce, another had the pork cutlet in mustard sauce, and a third the fresh fish. Prices are reasonable for what you get. The salads were so fresh and the side dishes were tasty and well prepared. The apple tarts for dessert were in the flakiest puff pastry and the apples were fresh. It was a "wow" dinner for us all. We wanted to meet the chef, who is 74 years old, and we were taken back to the kitchen to have this happen. We just wanted to say thank you and compliment him on the fabulous meals he had prepared. On our next trip to Tahoe, this will be on the list.

I had heard about this restaurant for years and finally tried it. Three of us could not stop MMMMMing. Salad was fresh and light salad. My husband had Duck with veggies and barley which was excellent. My daughter had Chicken over the thinnest tender homemade fettuchini ever. I had a cheese tart very flaky and light. The bread was crusty. Dessert was puff pastry with frozen cream and raspberry. Five star for a reasonable price. Will go back ASAP. I also loved the décor. Cloth tablecloths. Parisian décor.

Love this place and have visited often. The service is professional; low key and relaxing enough to have great conversations with your friends or partners throughout the meal. The chef is highly experienced in French, European and country cuisine.

If your expectations, or experience, at other French Restaurants are 'high prices and small portions' you will be very surprised here.

The portions are generous; the pricing is very fair and the overall value is top-notch.

Try it out (and ask to meet the Chef to compliment him on a great meal, ambiance and service).

We've been here twice, based on various web site recommendations, and were disappointed both times. It is charming, in a somewhat seedy kind of way, but the food was underwhelming. We would not go back.
