“Luxury room with magnificent lake view”
Reviewed July 18, 2011

My husband got our stay as COMP. We stayed at a luxury room in one of the higher floors in the Lake Tower. The lake view from the room was just amazing and postcard-like! The room was very clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable and we (brought our 2 kids) all slept like babies:). Marble bathroom was spotless and quite spacious with walk-in closets.

For dinner, we ate Cabo Wabo! located inside the resort.

It was an awesome stay and we're definitely coming back again this year. We're already reserved for November and December! Highly recommended!

Most beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. We stayed in the Lake Tower. The views are absolutely fantastic at all times of the day. Breath taking. The hotel is beautiful and fun. The rooms are very large. Everything was not only spotless, it was pure luxury. Marble bathrooms, everything modern and beautiful. This is what a vacation should feel like.

The people at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. We went to the breakfast buffet, they had a very nice, high quality selection, just a perfect beginning for a day at the Lake. Be sure to have Sunday brunch at Harrah's Forrest Buffet and get a view table.

Wonderful, wonderful vacation. We will most certainly be back (again and again).

My husband and I just returned from the Reno / Tahoe area. The Harvey's / Harrah's hotel combo was a welcome surprise. The two hotels are joined by a tunnel and share several of the same ammenities. Harvey's hotel and casino was very nice. They had an incredible fireworks display on the rooftop for the 4th of July. The Casino was very well laid out with a huge selection of slots and table games. The dealers were friendly - but the dealers at Harrah's were more friendly. We ate at the Sage Room and it was pricey but worth every penny. By far the best meal of our trip. The Starbucks in the lobby was wonderful. The tunnel under the street to Harrah's was easily accessible and allowed you to go back and forth with ease. The buffet at the top of Harrah's was very good and the view of the lake was excellent. A couple of the restaurnats were closed on Monday and Tuesday which we thought was very inconvenient especially on a holiday week! Our room was spacious and very clean with a separate area for dressing, shower and toilet. Great view of the lake from our window. Parking attendants were very helpful. Great location. Would go back to this hotel and casino.

Rented two rooms for a week. Spent $1500+. Was placed in older section and the smellof smoke was awful! Front desk and manager did not try to help us at all except to tell us next time to book direct? No need on that because will never stay at this hotel again. AWFULL!! Stay accross the street or something else

Booked ahead for a wedding and stayed with my husband and 3yo. Upon booking I upgraded us to the Luxury suites for a little bit more than the Premium and so glad I did. Basically the Luxury suites were those that had been already renovated from the beds, LCD, and mini-fridge. We had some friends who stayed in the Premium and their accommodations were really dated (tv box, no fridge, one mattress beds).

Either room is really spacious, there is a separate room for the shower, sink and tub, then another room for a vanity w/sink, toilet closet, and mirrored door closet. I appreciated the vanity as it helped me get ready for the wedding.

I like that the valet and self parking are free. Also they are a pet friendly hotel, which was great for friends of ours that brought their dog for a minimal fee per night. And of course, the casino in the building.

If all the floors were upgraded I would have given Harvey's another star.

Room Tip: For a modern room, get the Luxury upgrade!

I go to southshore about 5-10 times a year with my wife or with a bunch of work buddies and always have a fun time at Harvey's. There is a good variety of restaurants and nightlife, there is a Cabo Wabo bar/restaurant with live bands and dancing. For restaurants i recommend either Hard Rock cafe or Cabo Wabo, If you get a room for about $79 that is pretty good, you can go to their hot deals area of their website to save a few bucks!

Room Tip: go to the hot deals part of the website for a deal
