Our stay was great, cannot judge this Inn by the outside appearance. The non-smoking room we had was clean, the bed was so comfortable that sleeping was easy. We really enjoyed the choices of restaurants all with delightful food choices. Prices were really reasonable. There was no noise issues at all. We are certainly planning on staying there again when we are in the area. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Area was nice, safe and senic for that area. Thank you all at Western Village Inn and Casino.

Room Tip: A room with a marina view would be prefered, but room on the other side was very quiet and we had a...

The front desk woman was horribly rude, the room smelled like old spice and cigarettes, the room was filthy. The shower stall was cracked and sprayed water everywhere. Never again. We slept literally 3 hrs then got out of there.

I apologize for the sub standard service you received while at the Front Desk. This kind of service is not what we are known for. If you ever encounter this situation please dont hesitate to speak to a Manager on Duty.

I have also forwarded your review to the Hotel & Engineering Dept. regarding the room.

It was nice to stay out of downtown and we were pleasantly surprised to find the trail around the marina and that it took us to the mall. It was great to be able to ride our bikes there after a long day of driving. The rooms were typical 2-beds but comfortable and quiet and the price was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review for us.

Were happy you found our rooms comfortable, quiet and the price was right. I have to agree having the marina behind us to ride your bike and also enjoy some shopping is a nice ammenity.

We appreciate you staying with us while visiting Reno and look forward to seeing you again.

The room was great for the price. BUT, don't say anything to the cocktail waitresses if you're at a table. I called mine "Dear", and had to listen to two minutes of insulting diatribe from the server. I objected by telling her how insulting she was, and that was no way to treat the guests...she laughed and left...then I was the pariah subjected to weary looks from the pit boss. Even the dealer said how out of line she acted, but I was so uncomfortable I cashed in and left...and didn't gamble again for the remaining two days of our stay. My wife came away with the same impression that most of the staff is rude and indifferent to their guests needs. Food is good except for the deli...big portions but nothing tastes good, we gave up after trying five different items (pizza is made with ketchup for the sauce). This place is okay for a night, but if you're staying longer and want to be treated with a modicum of civility, you'll do better at other casinos in the area.

Passing through Reno area and needed a inexpensive, safe, place for the night. It was just my daughter and I, so safety was a big concern. Rates were great, outside was kind of sketchy but the room was very nice. The rooms are completely separate from the casino (where you register). Casino is VERY smoky, but registration was quick and easy. We had booked this room while traveling on rural roads, so internet service kept coming and going. Accidentally booked twice (through Tingo.com) but was able to get our money back.

I'm happy to hear you felt safe while staying at our property. We are continuing to work on the issues with the smoke in the casino, we have several smoke abatement systems thru out the casino and it has helped tremendously. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip.

we've enjoyed staying here twice now, and we have not been disappointed. Fantastic steakhouse! Good gambling as well. We travel to Sparks for the 4th of July and this is our favorite spot to stay. Our room was quiet and on the ground floor (as requested), at a reasonable price and came with more amenities than their website lists. There is no swimming pool but the beautiful marina park is directly behind the hotel, and shopping just a little further away--within walking distance if it's not too hot.

Room Tip: if you have questions or problems with your reservation, don't hesitate to call the front desk...

I have to agree the Marina Park behind our property is great for talking a walk or just to enjoy the view. Also the Legends mall is behind the Marina for those that would like to do a little shopping.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

My wife and I have recently found The Western Village Inn Located in Sparks.
As far as gambling is concerned the casino is small but it is a hangout for locals.
The main attraction for me at Western village is the steakhouse. With a 2-for-1 discount my wife and I got some of the best steaks we have had in a long time. These were 16 ounce steaks done to perfection with all the trimmings. The best part was that with the discount we paid $26 for dinner and each took enough steak home to make meals for the next day.
If you are planning to eat there, be sure and get there as early as possible. Reservations are sometimes 2 to 3 hours depending on day of the week and holidays. Have some drinks and do a little gambling while you wait, it is all worth it.
