This is a middle of the road value casino hotel. Expect good service, clean rooms, and basic amenities. However, this hotel is located next to a train switching station, where locomotives are making loud noise throughout the day and night. I didn’t sleep well at all. If you do choose the Nugget, ask for a Sparks, NV view rather than Reno.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The rewards program is great. We will definitely stay again. The buffet is always delicious. I just wish the machines would pay out more winnings but it’s still fun.

Room tip: The rooms are very clean.

We stayed at the nugget for three nights first the bad we ate at the noodle house and there food was just plain bad nothing about this place was a positive just bad food. Now for the good the oyster house there happy hour is a great bargain we had fish and chips it was not only very good but a great price we also had oysters on the shell good the drink prices are great. The lady serving us was doing a great job getting to every one the place was packed. We watched the football games in the sports bar and this is a great place to watch them lots of TVs and the food was tasty and good drinks were reasonable priced service was great and friendly now for the hotel check in on Friday was as expected for a Friday busy but friendly no complaints room was clean and had a coffee pot and refrigerator good lighting big bathroom beds were very comfortable plenty of towels and quiet. Very clean room one complaint they did not make the room up one night told them at check out and they more or less said it happens sort of said to me to bad not to good I’m not complaining about the price paid full price expect only that I get what I pay for so the good Oyster restaurant and sports bar hotel is good Bad noodle restaurant stay away from this restaurant but overall great place to stay for price plus the gambling here is good they have everything you can ask for to play good luck

Had an excellent stay at the Nugget. It was a combo Business-Leisure trip. Staff was super friendly, ate at four of the restaurants, all great meals, great beer selection at the sports bar. I will be back again.

The players club benefits is what draws us to the Nugget. However, the old machines we like to play were all off and there isn't all the new machines like our local tribal casinos or the other reno Casinos such as the GSR, Peppermill, Atlantis, etc. Besides that the last few times we have been to the Nugget we always leave there losers and you hardly get in to free games. When we go to the GSR we get in to free games often and come out winners 50 percent of the time compared to never at the Nugget. I don't think thats just a coincidence. Also our free play switched to more times per month but living out of town and having jobs the old offer of 20 dollars and the opportunity to earn up to 50 or 60 is actually a better deal for us , so by moving up we actually lost benefits. Also it is extremely hard to get cocktail service and we tip every time, there just isn't enough cocktail waitresses on the floor.
