“Great, new hotel for a night's stay away from the casino hassle”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

This hotel was perfect for us as an overnight stop on a family road trip. The price was reasonable and it was nice to avoid the Reno casinos, smoke, etc. The hotel looked brand new, the staff was courteous and the rooms were very comfortable. We were quite satisfied with our stay. Pool, hot tub and breakfast. Perfect.

Good comfortable room overshadowed lifeless front desk stay on arrival and departure. Awat from casinos and near good retail and dining establishments. Requested roll-away bed and informed none were available (told property has total of 3 roll-aways). Needed two separate beds to accommodate 3 and luckily a larger room was available. Would not go out of my way for this property but it met our needs.

We have stayed here several times when traveling through the Reno area. Always a pleasant experience. Above average Fairfield Inn with very nice breakfast area with plently of selections. Always well maintained with friendly staff.

Stayed here for 1 night on a road trip. Its right off I80 and easy to get to. The room was very clean, of course, and the bed was comfortable. Internet available, dining options close by, plus its not too far from the big Scheel's sporting goods store. I didn't here any traffic. I don't remember breakfast except that I didn't have to go out to eat!
If you're looking for proximity to downtown Reno, this is not for you. But is just fine, if a bit pricey, for a night passing through.

the Fairfild was clean, clean, clean. The color scheme was a bit vegas, we decided to name the colors. Navy, Papaya, Lime, Avacado, Mango, and they are all over everything, but the towels were of good quality, the water hot and plentiful, the pool refreshing, the staff, although interactions were limited were helpful. the breadfast, the standard, but dependable. I would totally recommend this Hotel.

We stayed here going both ways on our trip to CA. It is located right off the interstate so easy access. It is perfect if you are traveling. It is not a fancy 5 star place, but clean, comfortable, close to dining (we ate at Outback) and convenient.

If you're looking for an overnight in the Reno area, the Fairfield Inn in Sparks is one of the places you should consider. I've found that the various Marriott chains are sort of like McDonalds...reliably predictable if not noteworthy...and this place is no exception. Fairfield is the "bargain" brand of the Marriott chain, so one can't really expect to walk into the lap of luxury when staying there.

Our experience was pleasant, if not memorable. The room was well-used and could have been improved with a bit of refurbishing, but the included 'fridge worked. Partner didn't like the old towels, thin bed covers, and thin walls, and I do have to admit that traffic noise on I-80 was sometimes intrusive, though it did quiet down somewhat as the hour grew late. Try to get a room AWAY from the Interstate.

There's a pool that looked lovely, but we didn't try it, and the free Wi-Fi worked nicely.

Breakfast was fairly typical 2-star fare...cereals, bagels and muffins, toast, two juices, bananas, and pre-packaged Jimmy Dean bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwiches that you could nuke to heat (they were actually pretty decent). We walked next door to the Del Taco for dinner, and shopped at the little convenience store next to THAT for evening-snack yogurt.

Parking is free and there are no other hidden charges that are frequently part of hotels attached to casinos. In fact, this hotel not only has NO gambling on premises, the Book of Mormon accompanies Gideon's Bible in the nightstand drawer.

If you're expecting new and luxurious, pick someplace else, but if you're just looking for a decent bed for the night (and aren't put off by the price), by all means stay here. That said, if you need silence, make sure you're not on the Interstate side.
