At the Sands they give you a yellow ribbon for your dog's collar that says he is a registered guest. This lets you go in and out through the casino to take Fido for a walk. all the employees are very dog friendly and it is a log of fun. Also, put all the visitors with Dogs are on the fifth floor. You could hear them yipping at you as you walked by, but they never once bothered us in our room. There is a special "Dog Elevator" that leads directly to a fenced pet area, but they are perfectly ok with you taking your dog on the other elevators, going in and out, etc. Reno is a GREAT town for walking, and our dog loved it.
Prices are just ok. We spend $200 for a two night Fri/Sat stay, night including the $15 per night dog fee. Beers in the sports bar are $1.50. Service is good and friendly.
On the down side, the is the smokiest casino I have ever visited. Ever. Anywhere. Don't know if the air filtration system was too old, broken, or just shut off to save money. Whew!
