“Really nice hotel for your dollar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2011

The hotel looks kinda outdated on the outside but all the rooms have been redone at somepoint in the past. The room and bathroom were fairly clean besides finding some stray hair in the sink and shower.
The swimming pool was really nice as we were there beginning of Aug. Many loungers and space to relax and the pool itself stayed rather cool.
Like past reviews the ice machine is only on floors 1 and 3 and the reception desk is in a completely seperate building which can be annoying if you want to grab a snack or talk to reception. Also the biggest tip that helped was asking for pool side room to avoid the highway which is even slightly audible from that side.

We stopped here for an overnight. Were checked in quickly, and were luckily put in rooms facing away from the Freeway. The place was very quiet during our stay there only seemed to be a few guests. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There is not an ice machine on every floor which is slightly annoying. Had a good nights sleep in the room.

We went downtown for dinner on foot - this is not something I would reccomend you try doing, it was not a nice walk. There were not many shops or inviting places to eat in the vicinity of the Hotel. Breakfast was OK - plenty of pastries, bread and cereal.

I pre purchased my room here through Expedia. I noticed on the day the rate advertised on the sign was slightly lower than what I had paid. However at other hotels I stayed at I had made quite a saving compared to the "rack" rate, swings and roundabouts I guess.

There was a pool here which looked clean and inviting, however the air temprature did not warrant a dip during my stay!

I would stay here again for an overnight stop. But if I wanted to spend time in downtown Reno I would stay closer to town next time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool. This should avoid any highway noise.

I'm a registered Nurse who commutes from Dayton, NV every week for a 2 day work week at a local hospital in Reno. Before staying here, I tried several different motels in the Reno area looking for a place that I could trust to have clean rooms, a great price, and friendly staff. This place is really the best place that I could find. The biggest worry some people may have is the fact that the North side of the building faces I-80. I've stayed on that side only once during a busy weekend in Reno, but I usually get a room opposite the highway and absolutely love it! The rooms are larger than most of the super budget motels, the Wi-Fi is very fast, and most importantly, the rooms are super clean and comfortable. Highly recommeded!!

The room was filthy, hair in the bed, drawers. Food crumbs left in the drawers. Something that looked like blood running down the door jamb into the bathroom. Cigarette ashes left in the toilet. Traffic noise so loud you could not sleep. Matress hard as the ground. It was horrible. We had paid for 2 nights but got up the next morning and found another place to stay. Explained to the clerk why we were leaving and about how filthy the room was. She did not show any concern at all nor did she offer a refund or the money back for the 2nd night. We have stayed at Days Inn in other towns and never had this experience. I would not suggest this place to a homeless person!

Room Tip: Read reviews before booking any hotel.

Rooms are fine, but location is terrible. Too far from downtown, in a tough hood. Half of the hot faces main highway which makes them very loud. Find something else is my tip!

Beware of the terrible service. We prolonged our stay at Days Inn by one day and went for a trip to Virginia City. When we got back, we couldn't access the room, and our stuff wasn't there. Apparently, they misunderstood what we said at the reception (the receptionist Engilsh was rather bad) and at 1 PM checked us out without our permission or knowledge (even though they had our credit card!). We found our belongings in a common space, packed in transparent plastic bags (socks, underwear, bras perfectly visible) without any supervision (we had our passports and computers in the bags). We understandably made a fuss about the whole situation, but all they could do was to give us a rather pathetic discount. We asked to talk to the manager, but the receptionist couldn't get hold of him.

This situation totally unacceptable: they made a mistake, they acted without any respect for our property and privacy (I am not fond of people looking at my underwear), they didn't even TRY to make up for it, we never got an apology. The people running this motel should seriously consider a different career.

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing the freeway (or get ear plugs)

Hotel appears to be frequented by the down and out. Noisy and lots of evening activity. A/C didn't work well and was noisy. Small room that was very dated/old/worn out. The only thing going for it was a cheap price and the fact that they had a room.
