Stayed here during the Reno Baloon Race. When I checked in I told the reservation clerk why I was there and he gave me a room where I could see the balloons ascend from the room. Really was a pleasant surprise. The room was basic but clean and well appointed. It was a corner room so the views were astounding.
Did not eat at the restaurants as the lines were long and from previous experiences back in the 90's, I thought better of it. The lines always seemed long due to poor seating arrangements by the host.

Had a wonderful stay. Fun coupons were given during checkin. Room was nice and comfortable with a small coffee maker. Had stayed in Lake Tahoe before that and missed having a coffee maker in the room.

Good restaurants within walking distance. Would go there again.

we were just there for a marine reunion-we were in #2760-sky tower (27th floor)-it was a
no smoking floor & we smelled no smoke-it was a very quiet & clean-room had a coffee
maker & a wonderful bed-internet access was $10 a day-seems like all the hotels there charge that amount-there was 24 hour internet help if needed-the only problem we felt is
that it is very confusing when you 1st check in & you are going to the sky tower-takes some time to figure it all out-if you can't & don't want to walk a lot stay in the north tower-it's a little more expensive but worth it-the hotel has a tram running to the sky tower to make things easier-sky tower has convenient free parking right under the tower-also the
hotel is very handy to highway 80-the staff was all friendly-the buffet & other restaurants
were all good & fairly reasonable-hotel has a free shuttle to the airport-there is no pool
but we understand that the silver legacy lets circus guests in their pool-there weren't
that many kids there & the ones that were there were under the big top-the bell captain
will even print you up your boarding passes off of his computer & printer-a tip appreciated-we saw the balloon races there-also, try & go to pyramid lake-it's only about
a half hour away & it is awesome-it's considered north america's most beautiful desert
lake-we had a wonderful 5 night stay-

My family and I stayed for four nights on the 7th floor near the elevator. The room was a little dated but was clean and surprisingly quiet. The staff was extremely nice and accomodating. At check-in, we requested extra pillows, a mini-fridge, and internet service. The extra pillows were in the room by the time we got there and the mini-fridge was delivered shortly after. I would definitely stay there again....it was a great value for the money!

We booked this as our first night before heading up to Tahoe to ski for the week. Only needed 1 night, we were arriving kind of late (by plane) and knew where this was located and knew we could find food once there. Booked a non-smoking room in the "updated" tower. While the location is convienent the rooms are not that great. It reeked of cigarette smoke and even the adjoining room people were over there smoking and it was coming in from under the door. Whoever was in that room might as well have had a family reunion as I think there were about 3 families staying in that one room and they were up all night talking and smoking. Lots of kids running around the hotel hallways by themselves too. I guess someone thought it was funny and went running down the hall in the middle of the night banging on doors. Others peeked out too but not a soul in sight.

The only restaurant we ate at while here was the small ice cream & sandwich shop they have. It was fair but overpriced. Convience was the key here and nothing more. The kids area of the casino is good and we knew we could hit that for a little while before we headed out. The valet and all were helpful and friendly in giving us directions to some shops and dining places in the area before we headed out. We were looking for two places in particular and they knew right where they were located, great job there. Very hlepful. I've found in our travels the best people to ask for dining recommendations and directions are the bellhops & valet. They proved me right again here at Circus Circus.

We won't stay again because of the noise and the cigarette smoke that permeates the place even in the non-smoking rooms. I can deal w/ it in the casinos but trying to sleep in my own room, no.

I know it is Reno!!! But my family has never been treated so poorly in all our years of travel . The staff here treats all guests like they are criminals and security has a very short trigger. Look at these guys wrong and they are calling the police. I now understand Reno 911. Also, they say they are a pet friendly hotel. What that means is they will be happy to stick your dog in their kennel for a fee. Your dog will be happier left at home.
