“What more do you need????”
Reviewed September 19, 2011

We have came here each of the last three years. The first time in the Sky Tower for 10 days. Last year for two weeks in the North Tower which costs about $10 per night more but is way more convenient as it is right above the casino and reception. We enjoyed our last two stays so much we came this year for 23 days. The rooms are clean, the beds good, lots of linen/towels and more if you need them. The staff are very helpful ad friendly. Good shuttle service to and from the airport. Only ate a the buffet a couple of times but it was better than Harrah"s. The price was certainly right as we don't know where else we could have afforded to stay 23 days in a main downtown casino.

This hotel is a pretty decent value. The rooms are nice, clean and aren't cramped like some places. The prices are very reasonable. The only drawback to this hotel is the loading and unloading of your luggage. There is plenty of parking in the two adjacent parking garages but the "loading zone" is very small and gets crowded in a hurry. Overall, though, this is a pretty nice place to stay while visiting Reno.

Room Tip: I've stayed in both towers and there really is no difference in the two. Both are very nice.

I really enjoyed my stay in Reno. Hotel staff were friendly and, tower non-smoking room with king sized bed was super clean and comfortable. Not a hint of cigarette was smoke present in the non-smoking room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We traveled to Reno with my in-laws to watch the hot air balloon races. My in-laws picked Circus Circus because it was fairly inexpensive. They were told by a reservation agent that we would be able to check in at 8:00 that Sunday morning. However, upon arrival we were not able to check in until 10:00 because it was a special event weekend, so we had to wait around for over an hour. The lady at the desk was not too nice about it either and said the person on the phone should not have told us that. Once we were able to check in, we heard from other people who were told the same information as us and had been waiting since 8:00 to check in.

Our two-queen room was in the Sky Tower on the 25th floor facing west. Nice location and view! As far as the amenities of the room, they were just OK and did not live up to the standards as the El Dorado and Silver Legacy, which are next door and cost only $10 more per night. The beds were low to the ground but not uncomfortable nor really comfortable. They were OK. My husband and I did not wake up with sore backs. A few minor issues were encountered in the room: Only three towels and two hand towels were provided in a room that slept up to four people; the TV remote worked when it wanted to; there was no table in front of the second mirror in the room, which made getting reading in the morning a little more difficult with four people; and when the curtains were closed, the air from the AC did not circulate in the room well. It got really warm that night even though the thermostat was set to 71 degrees.

The $5 resort fee covered things like access to the fitness center, phone calls, in-room coffee and free wireless internet. However, the wireless internet voucher only allowed one computer on the network. If you wanted more than one computer or device on wireless internet, you would have to pay $4 for each additional voucher. At other hotels in the area, you were given the log in and multiple devices in the room could use the internet.

One thing that made us all a little upset was that at 8:00 the next morning we received a knock on the door from housekeeping. Upon answering the door after two knocks, she asked, “You are checking out today, right?” They should have a way of knowing who is checking out and when people have checked out rather than going down the hall knocking on doors. Checkout wasn’t until 11:00, so don’t knock on my door until 11:00! She should be glad I was already awake.

When we visit Reno again, we will most likely pay the $10 extra to stay at the El Dorado or Silver Legacy.

Room Tip: The North and Casino Towers were advertised as having newly remodeled rooms.

Circus Circus was just "nice". Nothing special. The rooms were clean. Went for a Red Hat Society Convention, so everything was based there. Was able to see the Hot Air Balloons ascend from the roof of the hotel. That was neat. Second night, after a long day, children ran down the hallway and we heard a child crying and whining. This is typical for a hotel with a large circus atmosphere. It was the parents who were not in control of their children. The food for the banquet was plentifull and very tasty. Overall, had a good time.
