In the past 10 or 12 years Reno has really improved it's restaurant choices and the Cafe de Thai is certainly a good example of this trend. The menu has something for everyone and our choices were. Crispy corn fritters which were unusual and exceptional as was the shrimp Paanang, the vegetable spring roll, the mushroom dumplings and the boneless short ribs which were on the daily specials. The service was good but they have a tendency to bring everything at once so it's best to tell the service staff to not do so. The deserts are incredible but not really Thai. The restaurant itself is very open with a good bar and a very interesting waterfall separating the bar and the food service area. The decor is contemporary minimal but light and airy. The bill was moderately higher than other Thai restaurants but well worth it.
