Have eaten here at least a dozen times over the years and have never, ever been disappointed. The chef's tasting menu is a great way to sample. They'll let you order it dining solo,as well, and mine the other day had five distinct dishes(some separate, but plated together). There was a spinach salad with duck proscuitto, a pumpkin tortellini with sausage, lamb lasagne w/bechamel, salmon(farmed, unfortunately, but still good), and beef tenderloin. Needless to say I couldn't finish the chocolate hazelnut tiramisu... The waiter also put together a flight of wines for around $12, if I remember. That was nice because the chef won't tell you what you'll get...you have to trust him...so it's hard to predict which wine to order. I can also highly recommend the osso bucco if you just want to keep it simple. The wait staff is knowledgeable, the hostess quite pleasant, and the chef truly seems to care that you are enjoying your meal. There's also a very pleasant lounge for a little pre-dinner cocktail. Not cheap, but considering the quality, still great value.
