My bowling partner and I enjoyed the nachos and the half priced margaritas during happy hour. I would go back again.

We had expected to get the same great food as the other restuarants associated with the Silver Legacy. Unfortunately, Hussong's does not live up to the Silver Legacy standards and we learned it is a "contracted or leased space" rather than under the Silver Legacy family. I would give this cantina a score of 4 our of 10 (2 for the good margaritas and 2 for the Baja shrimp tacos my hubby ordered). The chips were fresh, the salsas very bland, tasteless and watery. My enchiladas suissa with verde sauce was soggy from the tomatillo based sauce. Although the chicken in the enchilada was amply it was dry, there was very little cheese on or in the enchilada and it was not melted. The tortilla encasing the chicken became gummy from the watery sauce. The bean were more like Texas chili beans but with no flavor. We asked for a bottle of hot sauce to give at least a bit of flavor to the salsas and sauces. Most Mexican food has a lot of flavor whether from a citrus based marinade, to added cinnamon, corriander, chili powder or chilis. It is not necessarily hot just flavorful. We will not be going back to Hussong's.

We love Mexican food and some friends asked us to go with them to try Hussong's at the Silver Legacy casino. The music was way too loud, the food awful, and the service horrible. To make it even worse, very expensive for what you get. $11 margaritas - c'mon! There are numerous other Mexican food restaurants in Reno that are far superior! If you are staying downtown, go to Los Compadres on Fourth Street. Only a few blocks away!

Flavorful fresh food with reasonable portions. The salsa had just the right amount of heat to it. My husband chose his meal from the appetizer menu and it was plenty of food. The waitstaff is pleasant and attentive.
