“Family Reunion”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

We gathered at Peavine Pavillion and had a great time. There were things for the kids and the adults just enjoyed being together. The photos turned out great in this wonderful setting.

“wide open spaces!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

A beautiful park near the University!
Lots of room to run. I think dogs are allowed too!

Fourth of July fireworks sometimes set off here too.

“Rancho San Rafael Regional Park”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This is a wonderful dog park, where most owners are mindful of their pet's behavior. Some owners do not keep an eye on their pet, and this can cause trouble for other dogs. But don't let a few bad apples discourage you. Across to the unrestricted area is across the road and a tunnel connects the two areas. Please be mindful of wildlife when you are in the unrestricted area. BIking and hiking is plentiful in this area; bring water for all activities. Inside the park they have lovely gardens and a museum that are treasures to explore. No matter what the season, the park is a great place to go with your family, pets, and out-of-town guests. .The park is free, and there is a low cost for the museum. “Great Place...from Arboretum to Balloons to Wilbur D. May Museum”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

This is a nice park. The biggest time for it of course is the balloon festival in September. But every day is special there for people and also for those who bring their dogs. There is hiking, arboretums to explore, special exhibits and permanent collection at the May Center. Picnics are always fun here.

Its so close to the downtown casinos, but feels a world apart.

4 stars only instead of 5 ....simply because there are so many beautiful outdoor parks in the Tahoe-Reno area.
