“Not your typical casino steakhouse”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

You will be very surprised when you enter the Steak House at Tamarac Junction. It's wonderful! The decor is gorgeous and the service incredible. But it's the FOOD! Wow! From the salads to the deserts and absolute treat. We have had the steaks, (diane is my fav), seafood and pastas. Excellent! The wait staff is so on the mark and makes you feel so very special. Great wine list as well. We highly recommend this "hidden gem" in Reno.

“great monday nite special”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Monday nite special is a good deal! soup or salad, entree, dessert for $25. DH had salad and prime rib. I had soup and petit filet. DH enjoyed his house salad and entree. My soup was chicken green chili--very creamy and flavorful. Steak medium was just right. No choice on dessert--it was chocolate mousse. Since I'm not a mousse fan, I will not comment. I wish the restaurant had an exterior entrance; unfortunately, you must walk thru smoky casino to get to the restaurant. There is no smoking inside the restaurant and I did not pick up any smoke smell in the restaurant.

“Classy Reno Restaurant!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

This steakhouse was so classy! Even the menu book was classy!! And the food was to die for. Pricey... yes, but worth it. We were a huge party of 4 families. They put us in a private room no charge. The staff was so accommodating and the service was impeccable!! Such professionals! They waited on us as if we were royalty. I say skip the hotel restaurants and buffets. This restaurant should be a destination for locals AND visitors!! It's a hidden gem!

“5 STAR FOOD AND SERVICE!!!”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Visited Tamarack Steak House for the 2nd time last night and I was noteably impressed. We had Kevin as our waiter and he was excellent. I had the Steak Diane and it was fabulous. Perfect presentation at tableside. Would recommend this restaurant "hands-down" for a nice dinner.

“A Great Choice in Reno”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Tucked inside a locals' casino, The Tamarack Steak House is a great choice (if not the best) for dinner in Reno. We've tried over a dozen of the best rated restaurants in Reno, and none of them stack up to the service and value offered at this steak house. The attention to detail offered here is unusual for this area. When seated, a server will place a light or dark napkin across your lap depending on your attire. There's nothing worse than having a lap full of white lint when wearing dark clothing.

For $20-$39, you will receive a starter of soup or salad followed by an entree complete with side. For an an extra splurge, order my favorite Steak Diane and Bananas Foster (so delicious!) for dessert. Both will be cooked table side.

No need to worry about smoke at this casino restaurant since it is completely enclosed. Park and enter at the south entrance for a short 20-step walk through the casino to the restaurant entrance. Your dining experience will be quiet and refined in a beautiful Tahoe-themed dining room.
