Description: For sumptuous breakfast, brunch or lunch, Sunrise Cafe offers a reason to get out of bed for people in south, south Reno. The space is tastefully decorated, while the dishes aren't dripping off your spoon because of grease. It's not fast food, but the service is snappy.

“Consistently good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

This has become our go to breakfast spot. The food is always good and the service is always friendly and efficient. Sunrise is located in a strip mall so the atmosphere is not fancy but certainly warm and comfortable. There can be a wait, although never more than 5 or 10 minutes. Try the huevos rancheros..... The best in town!

“Poor customer service; average food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

Never been here before & really looked forward to it. Bought a coupon from RGJ Deal Chicken last week, $15 for a $30 meal, Tried to look up website...they don't have one??? Goggled it and got a hit on menupix.comwhich said it was only open for breakfast, lunch & brunch and the menu they posted only offered those options (no dinner), so we switched our dinner plans to breakfast plans. As soon as we were seated we put the large (8 1/2 x 11") coupon prominently on the table, making sure the waiter saw it when we ordered. When he brought the bill, he picked up the coupon and shook his head, saying "This is only good for dinner, you can't use it." He went and checked with the Manager, came back and said Nope, we couldn't use it. We were shocked! Couldn't he have told us that prior to ordering? He saw the coupon! We certainly wouldn't have ordered a thirty dollar breakfast for very run of the mill coffee shop food. Anyway, be forewarned...they are not customer friendly at this restaurant! Ate at La Cucina Tuesday with an expired Living Social coupon & THEY still honored it for the full amount. I'm giving my Sunrise Cafe coupon away as I guarantee we will not return.

“MMMMM”

It's a littl out of the way hole in the wall in a strip Mall, but they surve a really good breakfast!

“Breakfast Heaven!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2011

What a wonderful menu for breakfast, so much to choose from. I ordered the Enchiladas delRey, a HUGE portion of sausage and cheese enchiladas with even more cheese, melted on top. The beans and pico de gallo were delicious with the eggs on the side. My friend had the french toast, which, she said, tasted just like her mom's. The service is wonderful, and they even have really good candies at the register, not those dismal starlight mints.
