I needed somewhere to stay for one night after Burning Man, which was in the middle of Labor Day weekend. I bid on Priceline and won this hotel for $40. After reading the reviews, I requested an upgraded non-smoking room with one bed, and got that upon check-in. I also asked for a room that doesn't face the train tracks, but they were out of them. I'm a light sleeper, but it wasn't bad at all.
The room was very comfortable and newly remodeled. Everything worked fine. The TV is old style, but that's to be expected at a 2.5 star in Reno at this price. The bed was comfortable.
There is a free shuttle to the airport, which was a great perk. It's basically a personal service that will take you there whenever you need to go. There is also a free computer with internet in the lobby.
The check-in staff was very welcoming and great. They also provided free detergent and I was able to do laundry on the 2nd floor ($1 washer and $1 dryer).
The surrounding area looks somewhat dingy, so I probably wouldn't stay there if I was planning to walk anywhere. But overall, it's a great value for a stopover in Reno on the way somewhere else.
