Stayed at the "old" Peppermill several years ago prior to reconstruction. I remember the rooms being very retro & dated. Fast forward after construction. The hunny always liked playing at the Peppermill, so it was a nice surprise when they comped us 2 free nights. Since it was our anniversary, we decided to upgrade to a Tuscany King Suite for a very small, but worthy fee. Well beyond our expectations! The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean & spacious. To save money on gambling, we laid poolside for several hours & just enjoyed the atmosphere. You completely forget you are in Reno.

After a wonderful dinner at Bimini Steakhouse, & enjoying the rest of the casino, a nice, relaxing soak in our private jacuzzi tub was the perfect way to end the evening.

We frequent the Reno area occasionally, but from now on, all our stays will be at the Peppermill's Tuscany Towers. All the other places are just hotels.

Stayed at the Peppermill in July, and can hardly wait to return. We spent two nights there, and didn't leave the hotel. Gambling was great, as were the many restaurants, stores and pool area. Service was excellent, except for check-in which took a bit of time. Stayed in Tuscany suite, and whole experience was top-notch. Only draw-back for me was getting there as you have to fly from L.A. (We drove up from Sacramento.)

The hotel area is very nice, casino and restaurants are perfect, clean and comfort to stay. Good service also. If u wanna stay in Reno, Peppermill is a good choice about half way between airport and downtown.

Another spur of the moment trips to Reno and booked Peppermill and rather than staying in the Tuscany Tower as we’ve always done, tried the Peppermill Tower in an Imperial Suite and very well worth it! We had heard that only the Tuscany rooms were the lavish rooms and any of the “Peppermill” rooms were the older/outdated rooms, they were wrong. The furnishings were very well appointed: LCD televisions (3 total), leather couch and chair, very nice comfortable bedding and the wet bar was great as well to keep the Red Bull nice and cold. The bathroom was very nice and the steam-shower with a bench is a nice touch. The interior of the room décor and furnishings were of the same caliber of the Tuscany rooms just without the Tuscany feeling. The jetted tub in the room was very nice considering that it backed against a window, a soak in the spa while looking out at the Peppermill marque was a great way to end the day. The rate was a steal on a Thursday/Friday @ $99 and $129 for this type of room anywhere in Reno/Tahoe!
More properties in Reno need to invest in the self-check-in option that Peppermill has because as we arrived there were several couples in line to check in and we used the self-check-in and were on our way to the elevators within 5 minutes. The only suggestion with the self-service check in is that it does not confirm the room type (or at least didn’t for us) so you may have some concerns over not getting a Hotel clerk to confirm your room preferences before running your cc. This trip the room I booked through reservations was exactly what we got.
The wife and I loved everything about this room but one thing; it needs a bit more lighting. There were only 3 lamps sharing the sitting, tub and bedroom area and although I like a dim room, the lighting in the room was close to dark. The age of the tower may attribute to that because there is no recessed lighting so they depend on lamps, but a little more light would be good. Overall very impressed with the Imperial Suite and already planning our next trip but wanted to make sure that when we go, we can book at the Peppermill…Imperial style!

Room Tip: To date, I haven't had a "bad" room at Peppermill. We've always stayed in the Tuscany Tower and this trip in the Peppermill Tower, the lack of hiking to the Tuscany Tower was a nice change. The elevator bank for the Peppermill Tower are right off the registration desk.
