watch out for the west wing rooms , first you go to the second level, then you walk a very long way ,and then you go outside and walk a bit more, through a door now up some stairs .. this is a annex building. for the same price you can get a tower room and not leave the main building..

Thank you for your review. Even though our West Wing does require a mild walk, we get many requests for this wing. Here you can separate yourself from the crowd just a little and also park your car right next to your room. We do hope that next time you stay with us that you will get a chance to stay in our Peppermill or Tuscany Tower. You will love these rooms and be closer to all of the action.
Take care.....we hope to see you again soon.

My wife and I stayed here in early June during our cross country trip. The rooms were larger, and very clean, and check in was a breeze. The walk to the room from the elevator was a little involved and it made me glad we checked our bags with the bellman instead of trekking with them through the maze of hallways to our room.

The view from our room was of the parking lot, but we really didn't care since we were only going to be there for the night. We did have issue with the casino itself, simply because it was dated and far too dark. I don't mind some ambiance to a casino, but I do mind feeling like I am in a cave.

Cafe Milano at the resort was very good with great service. We kept the meal simple but the burgers we definitely above average and ample.

Check out was simple, the valet service quick and we were on our way once again with easy access to the highway to continue on our journey. Although I wasn't overly impressed with Reno, having been spoiled for years by Vegas, I would likely go back, and I would stay at the Peppermill.

We just got back from a 2 night stay at the Tuscany Towers at the Peppermill Hotel in Reno. Our room had a nice view of the pool areas. We loved the 2 comfortable king-sized beds and the flat screen TV. The bathroom was awesome . . . 2 sinks, giant tub, double shower and flat screen TV. I wish the shower heads could have been opposite each other instead of side-by-side. The rooms were very quiet, so we were well rested each morning.

We don't normally visit the pool when we travel because we have a pool at home. We couldn't resist the pool at the Peppermill, though. It was beautiful, inviting, and a comfortable temperature.

If you have kids, be aware that the mini-bar and snack tray have weight sensors. If you move an item, you will be charged for it. We don't have any young kids, so that wasn't an issue with us, but we were very careful around the snack tray for fear of knocking something off of it's sensor and having to pay for an unwanted item. I wonder if they would remove the items if you asked?

My only complaint was that breakfast at the Island buffet was not worth the price. Thankfully, we had a 'buy one, get one' discount, so that helped a bit. But honestly, breakfast at Denny's would have been tastier and cheaper (and I'm not a big fan of Denny's). Because we didn't enjoy breakfast, we were hesitant to try any of the other restaurants on the property. I wish the hotel's info binder contained more information about the resort's amenities (eg., menus, etc.).

We probably won't ever return to Reno, but if we do, I would not hesitate to stay at the Tuscany Towers again.

We ate dinner at the Great Basin Brewery one night. Very reasonable prices, great food, and a commitment to the environment. Be sure to check out the art work on the ceiling if you go there.

We went hiking at Huffaker Hills one day. Climbed to the top of Rattlesnake Mountain.

On our way out of town, we stopped at Scheel's in Sparks. It is an amazing sporting goods store. They also sell delicious fudge! Unfortunately, we did not have time to shop in any of the nearby factory outlet stores.

We stayed in the Tuscany Towers. The room was outstanding--two TV's, large sitting area, comfortable bed, spa tub, two sinks, separate shower and bathroom. Because we are seniors, we took advantage of the two for one lunch and breakfast buffets. I will have to say that the buffets at the Peppermill were the best that we have taken advantage of.

The check in was quick; we self parked. Web hook up was available. We have absolutely no complaints.

Based on prior reviews, we were hesitant to stay at the Peppermill, however, since it was near the venue for the Summer National competitions, we took a chance. We and our friends were very pleased. We stayed in the Tuscany tower, which was the newest addition to the hotel. The rooms were large, bathroom was spacious. Everything new and clean. The hotel restaurant food was also much better than expected. Would recommend staying here in the Tuscany tower. (Other friends who stayed elsewhere in the hotel did not have accomodations that were as nice).

Room Tip: Ask for the Tuscany tower.
