I stayed here for two nights on a recent quick trip and found this property to be one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express & Suites I've visited.

The lobby is very nice and the free breakfast in the morning is the standard HIE&S fare including their signature cinnamon rolls. I was a little surprised by the variation in egg dishes though, one morning being scrambled eggs but the next being egg and cheese omelets.

The room was very comfortable and well-kept. The bed was comfortable and felt of recent vintage, there were a good selection of pillows in the room and the TV was a nice recent Sony Bravia LCD model with a complement of SD and HD channels along with several "Music Choice" audio-only channels available. The showers were very nice with a good, strong spray capable of actually washing off shampoo and soap, and there were no temperature issues at all. There was a nice fridge in the room hidden away in a cabinet, so if you can't find it at first, listen for it. :-)

Hotel snack and soda machines were priced very nicelly, with prices not in any way being the typical "captive guest" hotel pricing.

The hotel's Wi-Fi was a little flaky for some reason, as it often took several attempts to get the login screen to show when connecting intially, but when returning the screen showed up instantly. There were two PCs with printers in the hotel business center, but one night one printer was down and the next one PC had several McAfee alerts popped up showing it was infected with a key logger (so I'm thankful the management was thoughtful enough to install a security suite.)

All in all, if I need to return to Reno, this hotel will be at the top of my list of where to stay.

The only thing to note is it's a LITTLE tricky getting to the hotel as it's down a side street and the fact that it's near 395 means the hotel isn't really visible from the intersection at which you have to turn to get onto the street on which the hotel is located. However once you know where the hotel is it's less than five minutes to the highway or back to the airport.

Note that as the hotel is new, Google Maps/Street View currently shows the location as an empty lot. :-)

Picked this because of good reviews on Tripadvisor and proximity to Grand Sierra Resort where we had concert tix. Good room, spacious, clean, nice flat screen TV, good bathroom - cool to have just a large shower, and not have the tub that's too small to use. Good sized fridge too, not just the tiny one. The hotel is basically in "Auto Row", but possible to walk to the Grand Sierra Resort, or the mini bus will take you over and jump in a taxi back. Would stay again if we had tix for a concert. It's not the quietest place due to being right by the side of the freeway, so if you need quiet for a good night's sleep this may not be the place for you.

This hotel is as good as most five star properties I have stayed at. The location is great with or without a car. I only stay at new properties and I was very pleased with this newly built Holiday Inn Express & Suites at Reno Airport. The free breakfast was better than any I've had at a hotel. It was a great stay, looking forward to stay again.

Nice hotel in a kind of a strange location. Really nicely appointed rooms very tasty
for a Holiday Inn property. Same old Holiday inn tasteless breakfast fare. The chain should really get the breakfast fare to a better level.

We were in Reno for a Christmas/New Year's visit with family. Cesar Mora, Guest Service Manager went miles out of his way to accompodate us with a wonderful room, wonderful customer service and helped give us a wonderful experience while we were in Reno. We would highly recomment that Holiday Inn Express to any and everyone traveling to Reno.
