“Quick visit well worth the long way”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

Just had a quick stop at the cafeteria. The food looked really nice, and got compliments from customers. Very friendly service! Did some souvenir shopping and moved on. This quick visit was totally worth the long way, and the scenery is awesome [well, at least from my Scandinavian perspective] :)

We drove out to the Little A'le'inn. One of my friends is a big cult/ET type fan. Drive out was scenic, very dry, very different from the North East.
Town itself has population of 70, the motel is a restaurant with series of trailers behind. The owner Pat and one of the locals, Pat Jordan, were great to talk to, really great people, lot of stories, lot of history. Learned a lot about the huge US Air base just south and the nuclear weapon testing area of Nevada Test Site. It is kitschy but fun. We took a cooler with beers, took chairs to edge of desert and drank beers in front of a bonfire and talked and looked up at clear Nevada night sky. Was one of those moments I will never forget. The food is good and the service and stories are really great. trailers are okay, we came out of the Venetian in Vegas so a bit of a shock, BUT, fun. Pat is a wonderful lady. She is blessed. They still have monitors that check air quality because of prior nuclear tests. No place quite like this. Unique.

Room Tip: The rooms are trailers, you sort of have to go with flow. It is what it is, but the overall experien...

We arrived here on the afternoon of May the 20th 2012 as we thought this would be a great location from which to watch the annular eclipse of the sun.

We were not disappointed. Although the accommodation was a little on the basic side, this was more than compensated for by the very low cost of both the motel room and food & drink in the diner.

The best part of our stay, however, was the amazing hospitality we were given by all the staff. When we left, after just one night's stay, we felt we were saying goodbye to old friends.

Our stay here was definitely the highlight of our trip to the U.S.

Heard nothing but bad things about the accomodations, but I was willing to take a chance.
The rooms are actually converted Mobile Homes, 2-3 bedrooms per unit. You do share common areas such as the Kitchen, living room and Bathroom. This wasn't a problem for us since we got the whole Mobile home to ourselves, thanks Cody for that.
It looks like they are in the middle of re-vamping the Mobile Homes. Our bedroom was clean, the beds comfy, the A/C worked good. The bathroom was decent. It had a hand-held shower head, its a must to get into all the nooks and crevices of my body. The kitchen had a full fridge/freezer combo. had a Microwave and stove. Just a regular kitchen. The living room area had plenty of seating, but was uncomfortable. Big downfall, no TV. Ok, they have a tv, but you have to watch DVD's or VCR tapes which you can get from the office. Place was quiet. so, overall, the stay was fine condiseering where it is at after all.

Room Tip: If you want to leave early and are hungry, bring your own food.

In a location that you need but totally undesirable accommodations!!!!!! There was a thick layer of dust on the end table, dirt on the carpet, and the outdoor furniture looked like it was ripped by a werewolf. You have to share your bathroom with the room next door in a 2 room trailer. The refrigerator sat on the microwave in the bathroom where you can make a sandwich at the same time as using the toilet. TOO WEIRD! The only thing alien living in the area was growing in the shower. The tv is only for VHS movies where the selection is huge but unknown titles. Air conditioner produces the thrust of a jet engine even when on the low setting. The beds were pretty beat up, to the point I ended up on the floor when I tried to sit on the corner of one of them not to mention the lifeforms that might exist in and on them. We were excited about quirky and a bit strange but this was waaaaay beyond anything I could have imagined.

We spent a night in Little ALeeIn on the trip from Vegas, after visiting the Groom Lake road and finding of couple of geocaches. It is a fantastic place in the middle of nowhere! We enjoyed the evening with Pats grandsons, Scotty Beam Me Up drinks, free wrestling lesson :o) and chat with locals! Really unforgettable experience! Thank you, guys!

I have to admit that we were a little turned off when we got our reservation that we would have to share a bathroom... As it turns out, it was a non issue. The restaurant is just a cool and quirky place to be but I have to say, the "inn" part is stunning in its oddness. The rooms are actually made up of divided trailers. Our room was straight out of the 70s. Wood panneling, old furniture, green shag. A TV is provided but since there is no TV reception, they kindly supply a VCR (yup, a VCR) and a huge stash of movies to choose from (which you can find in the "Evidence Room" in the restaurant). The staff was great and I had a seriously good night's sleep, surprisingly perhaps! The morning staff was awesome, great tales to tell. I recommend it - don't expect luxury AT ALL but expect to have the kind of experience that you would have nowhere else.
