“Fast, but shaky”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

I took my kids last June to a weekend in Vegas, and on the way we stopped in Primm, NV. They wanted to ride the rollercoaster in Buffalo Bills so we got on. The price is average, when the cars are going up, the view of the desert is nice, the main drop is fast and exciting, but then the ride starts to shake side to side, not to the point of make you feel in danger, but enough to make you uncomfortable about it. After the ride, we continued to Vegas and I asked my kids what they thought about the ride. They both agreed that it's fun, but shakes too much.

“Hold onto your head!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The Desperado is indeed a huge coaster and for a coaster fan its great! It starts out inside the casino and continues outside and then back inside a mountain. All in all its pretty fun...Once...But hang onto your head and expect to get beat up a bit on the ride as its not very smooth riding and will throw you around pretty good. Considering they only have the one coaster at the casino I cant imagine the maintenance is all that regular...That could be why its such a rough riding coaster. Oh make sure you remove earrings unless you prefer to have additional holes punched in your head. Good Luck!

“Roller Coaster in the desert”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

9-30-12 We drive from Luxor Hotel and Casino, down the I-15 for somewhere over 40 miles, just to ride a single coaster. Junkies, yes we are. We could have easily dropped $10 in a slot machine or on one roll of the dice, instead we rode a coaster. We sat in a middle car with no one in front or behind us. The ride leaves out of the interior of Buffalo Bill's Casino. You wear a seat belt and there's a lap bar that comes down and locks in place. The ride does not go upside down. The big thrill is the first hill and it is really sweet. Our only complaint is that the seats are not comfortable and are unforgiving as you vary from one side to the other and it felt like you are getting hit in the mid to upper rib section. The ride is fun and I'm glad we did it. Does it compare to Millennium Force or Diamondback? No, not quite. More like Meanstreak except it's not a wooden coaster.

It's worth doing for the sake of knocking one more coaster destination off of our list.. We came, we saw, we rode, we enjoyed, but once is enough, the ribs can't take it.

I love rollercoasters and when travelling from Las Vegas to LA, we passed the Desperado coaster.
We payed the 10 dollars for 1 ride, but it was worth it.
Steep, fast,;long and yes...sometimes a bit rough, but a great coaster for fans.
Too bad it's in the middle of nothing!
