“The most amazing place to visit!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

I know it's just rocks, but, this is the most amazing place to visit!!!! Well worth the short 35 or so minutes drive north of Las Vegas. You will be awarded with some of the most beautiful gorgeous scenery!!!! You will see all kinds of different colors in the rocks. Bright reds, orange, and even purple!!!!! Make sure you take the rainbow of colors road, just north of the visitors center. Seeing purple in the rocks, is just amazing!!!! If your into hiking, and walking on trails, there are some really nice trails to walk on too. Bring your camera, with a fully charged batteries, you will be taking a lot of great photos!!!!!! My current profile picture, was taken at Valley of Fire state park.

“Beyond Beautiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Valley of Fire should be a requirement for all visitors to Vegas. Just a short scenic drive from the city, Valley of Fire is an outstanding example of the Nevada landscape. The magnificent rock formations, beautiful plant life, and interesting animals make this a must see for visitors of all ages. The absolute quiet of the desert will amaze you especially after the hustle and bustle of Vegas. The surrounding mountains only add to the beauty of the Valley of Fire. Must be seen - you will fall in love with this part of the world.

“Amazing scenery...well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

We did Valley of Fire after a morning at the Hoover Dam, driving through Lake Mead Rec Area. There is a charge to drive through Lake Mead and a self-pay station at the Valley of Fire. There is plenty of time to do this in one day if you leave Las Vegas by 730am. The views here are truly incredible.

“Beautiful and tons of fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful sights at the Valley of Fire Park. It had some really fun hikes, and great, unusual sights.

If one is going to do Hoover Dam as well, it would be good to combine it with this park on the same day. They are not exactly "near" one another, but they both go off in the same direction.

“Briiliant side trip from Vegas to Zion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

Some people we met in Vegas recommended this visit as a detour on the route to Zion. It was our first taste of park scenery. This is a state park so entrance is not included in the National Parks Pass but it is well worth the 10 dollar entrance. There are so many amazing geological features and the climb up the staircase to see the ancient petroglyphs was inspiring. There are many places to stop for short or long hikes, we ended up staying a lot longer than we expected.
There is a small visitor centre which has lots of information, gifts , water and a few comestibles but no café .
