We flew to the south rim with canyon air and would not choose to do another tour with them for the following reasons:
1: they picked us up an hour and a half late and not in the stretch limo we were promised when booking.
2: not every seat on the plane (eg, the ones in the very back row) had a window seat.
3. The bus driver who took us from the airport to the canyon drove quite fast over a speed bump causing two passengers to hit their heads on the roof of the bus and injure their necks.
4: upon arriving at the national park the tour guide or driver did not have money to get into the park and did not know what to do. We drove in circles around the park entrance three times and were on our way back to the airport until the passengers decided to pay the entry fee ourselves.
5: because of the above delays we did not get the full 3.5 hrs at the canyon. The canyon was very nice though.
6: on returning to the airport and getting on the plane the tourguide discovered he had 'lost' 7 passengers and went back to the park to find them. We were delayed another 40 minutes to discover that they were in the airport the whole time!
On return the group unanimously complained and after much arguing and haggling were finally given a partial refund. No apology was given.
Overall we were really disappointed in the lack of organization and customer service we got on our return which is a shame because this is a once in a lifetime tour for many and a big expense. If we could do this again we would book through the concierge at our hotel to ensure a quality experience.
